I've been here a couple times. The owner and staff are such warm people. Come if you've got a big appetite.

The food is authentic and delicious. The staff is friendly. The setting is basic but clean and on the weekends they stay open... till 2am as a night club. During the day it is a family friendly restaurant. I highly recommend the pollo guisado or the bistecwith white rice and beans. Read more
The food is really good and really large portions. Very very filling and delicious! Empanadas are yummy!
I gave it 3 stars cause the food was great. However, I feel the service for dining in was horrible. Everything took way to long... to get, from the waiter initially getting to our table, to getting the meal was just way to long for an almost empty restaurantin the middle of the day. A couple people ordered drinks and they said they tasted like they put 0 alcohol in them. Just a notso pleasant experience. Like I said before, the food was great, I thought it was delicious.! My opinion, don't dine in, get takeout and call it in for pick up..????. Read more
Awesome find. They weren't busy at all but wow was the food great. We had arroz con pollo (rice with chicken) with a side of... maduros (sweet plantains) and pibil (pork) with yellow rice that came with a delicious soup/sauce. Plates were enormous and weleft way too full with to-go boxes in hand. Very happy and will be back. Thank you! Read more
The place I went to is actually called Fatboy's and I REALLY wanted to adore this place, but as a gal that really loves a chef... who puts passion in their food, I can't. The atmosphere is great here. The decor is on point. The food CAN be great with just alittle more love. What they do right: Their clam chowder is out of this world. While it's more of a Boston clam chowder and nota traditional new England clam chowder it was so creamy, tasty, satisfying and filling. I probably shouldn't have orderedanything else as I was well and truly stuffed after. The fried foods are well prepared and meals are served in a timely manner. The steak was cooked perfectly and served with fresh veggies. THEY HAVE GOOEY BUTTER CAKE! As a current St. Louis gal I wasreally happy to see this offered on the menu and served JUST right! (Don't miss this offering) As we dined I was happy to seefolks going up and down the stairs to prepare for a large party for the following day. the staff was VERY attentive andaccommodating while they set up their space. What can use some improvement: I had chicken parmesan. While the butterflied friedchicken was amazing the pasta was tossed with canned spaghetti sauce. It's not difficult to make sauce fresh. Imho it wouldelevate the dish tremendously. The chicken was smothered in cheese. Too much for my taste, but hey- if that's your thing, cool. Overall I would probably visit this restaurant again if out and hungry but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again. Read more
I went here on 2 different days, maybe around 4 months apart and was asked to leave because I look like a cop. What’s going on... with that? I advise anyone not to go to this place. They were going to throw me out by force. New London police need toinvestigate. Read more
