Pretty tasty. The brussel sprouts were to die for. Pizza was thin crust and light. Oil was present but in a good way. Not... greasy. We sat at the bar and the food was brought to us. Chill setting with families and couples and friends. Read more

Went here in a group and won't come back. Pizza was thrown together. Toppings were scarcely spread. Pasta was small portions.... WAY overpriced for amout of pasta you get. Didnt even offer a refund when we saw the handfull of pasta for 17.50 a dish. Theplace across was a juice bar. Overpriced 12.00 for a medium slushy. We won't be coming back. Read more

Mother?s Day and my wife and mom did not want to go out. Our regulars were not delivering or doing take out, and Panicale Pasta... sounded great with the fresh pasta so we gave it a try. Portions were small, no complementary bread or side salad to make upfor the portion size, very little sauce (almost non-existent), which made the meals dry and noodles clump together, the kidsbutter pasta was really salty and they wouldn?t eat it. I never thought you could mess up butter pasta. The Amatriciana sauceon my meal was dry, bitter and oily. We ordered a margarita pizza that was ?ok? but not great, I like a chew to the crust butit was a tough almost leathery chew. My wife also ordered the Burrata, and the focaccia was stale. My 2 star rating takes intoconsideration that this was delivery, had this been the experience eating in, this would be a 1. Great concept (especially goingthe extra mile with fresh pasta), but execution needs some work. Read more

What a terrific surprise. After a recent meeting in New Haven, I visited the new East Rock Center, which had been described... (accurately!) as a very cool industrial space reclaimed for mixed use, including a food market with a diverse variety ofquick-serve restaurants. I had the good fortune to try Panicale Pasta, an attractive new pasta and pizza restaurant in the EastRock Market. Panicale is a wonderful new place! The centerpiece of their sleek open-kitchen storefront is a very impressiveItalian high-temperature pizza oven, so I decided to try one of their pizzas as well as one of their artisanal pasta dishes fortake-out. Both dishes were superb and different. I ordered a special pasta: housemade fettuccini with a beautifully preparedlamb ragout and fresh mozzarella. The serving was very generous and the dish was totally yummy?the pasta was perfect and I wishI knew the recipe for the lamb ragout! For the pizza, I used their ?build-your-own? option with sausage, mushrooms, broccolini, and roasted red peppers. The outcome was a thing of beauty that tasted even better than it looked. The crust was amazing, inpart because of that magnificent oven. It truly was one of the best pizzas I have had. Panicale is a delightful new gem forbeautifully prepared delicious and distinctive food served quickly and easily for take-out or dining at the Market. The peopleare friendly and efficient, and they have good logistics for busy people, including ordering on Toast and excellent packaging oftheir take-out orders. It will be a definite repeat the next time I am in New Haven. Read more

Loved it the market itself has a great , trendy vibe with gorgeous natural wood tables, artwork made from fresh moss and a... variety of food offerings from Italian to sushi , juices and smoothies and a full bar with big screen tv. Panicale food was sogood. The pasta was really fresh and the sauces were delicious. They have an authentic pizza oven imported from Italy and we got2 pizzas to go. They look amazing . It is definitely a five star experience Read more

We stopped by the East Rock Market to check it out for the first time yesterday and tried pizza and pasta from Panicale. The... staff and owner were super helpful and friendly and the food was fantastic! We ordered the burrata pizza and the bucatiniamatriciana. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients and the flavor was great. The pizza crust was nice and crispy and agood size to share as an appetizer or eat as an entree. We grabbed a beer at the brewery next door and recieved a text when ourfood was ready for pick up. Super easy! Definitely recommended. Read more
