I ordered 2 meals and it wasn't good at all! I spent including tip 90.00 dollars. I asked for no capers in the meal scaloppini... di Pollo, it was loaded with capers and the chicken was hard and tasted uncooked. I also ordered Pollo alla Parmigiana; thechicken was mushy and tasted terrible. This was my first time ordering from Basta Trattoria. It was overpriced and of poorquality and flavor. One of the more refined dining options in Yale area, the place is almost always full as it serves lovely Italian dishes with... friendly and warm service. Insufficient stars for my experience. It was beyond every expectations for any dining option. Photo of Farfalle Funghi with a... meatball and bottle of Super Tuscan. Parked at nearby Crown Ave garage - couldn't have been an easier walk. Parking would'vebeen validated but we visited for several hours and garage wouldn't honor it - I had no issue with the $13 charge because Basta,and my visit with dear friends, made every concern melt away! The staff were tremendously generous with their time - no pressureto leave to let others use our table - we were strongly encouraged to stay as long as we wanted! Wonderful dinner had the three course special meatball, chicken parmigiana, linguine garlic mushroom butter sauce. The meatball... was savory, chicken parm was tender and linguine was tasty with crisp mushrooms. Our waiter surprised me with a piece ortiramisu mouth watering.
