Reviews for East Avenue in New Glasgow, NS
Superb lunch here, fresh food, good service, fast and tasty. Good value for money. Would definitely return.
Quite a lovely place. App: mussels in a very nice cream sauce were very good. Main: the small Caesar salad with chicken was... very good however for the additional $7 I would have expected a breast of chicken instead of a few strips. The addition ofchickpeas and grape tomatoes to the salad was a nice twist. The salad was excellent other than the chicken. Drink: I had anOld Fashion which was not on the list but they were happy to make it for me and it was very good. I?ll bet the second one wouldhave been ever better but I was driving? Overall: a very nice surprise that I will come back to again when in the area. It islike several places in one as there is an outside deck, a modern-ish inside area with a bar and a very nice, more formal diningarea. Read more
Love this restaurant! Highly recommend! We visited twice during our trip home to New Glasgow. I thoroughly enjoyed the coconut... chicken curry dish on my first visit and the Atlantic Salmon with Maritime Hodge Podge (photo attached). We also enjoyed thecauliflower bites. We will be back! Read more
I've long heard about how fantastic this restaurant was and now I've experienced it in person. The gnocchi and duck ragu was... absolutely delicious and well portioned. The service was timely without being intrusive. This would count as a high endrestaurant in most cities but located in our small community. Highly recommended. Read more

Really can't say enough about how great the food was here! We were just passing through to Sydney and will likely stop again on... our way back. Wow! Delicious. And the alley beside the patio was very interesting as well. Chicken burger and the French dip..the jury is out on which was better. Soup and fries both delicious as well. Read more
East Avenue dining is a gem in downtown New Glasgow. The renovation of the building into their restaurant still in keeping the... feel of the original building. Exposed brick, local art and great ambiance. Food wise, the offerings are a great variety oflocal simple ingredients turned into lovey plated dishes and complex flavours. Seasonal dishes are based on localavailability. My biggest nudge is GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS FOR CELIAC! The chefs are accommodating and want every single person withany food need to be happy and be able to enjoy themselves. Read more
