A friend & I stopped in for a last minute/late night beverage during the week. The bar tender was kind & quick to get us our... drink. The country decor is very nice! I noticed a few pool tables in an adjoining room & perhaps 3 steel tip dart boards.Unfortunately, I didn't see any electronic plastic tip dart boards at Joe's. I wanted to like Joe's so bad that I went back three times to give them two more shots, but three strikes and you're out as they... say. The first time we went, they had an issue with their ordering system and things took forever and some things were overdonebut I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back again. However, the second time, most of the food was still just OK whilesome was good like the hamburger steak. And while faster than the first visit, the service was still glacially slow. I went backtonight with a friend instead of my wife because she refuses to go back, but I?m stubborn and wanted to give them one more try.From the time we ordered until we got our food was about 50 minutes. That?s not counting the long delays between every emptyglass of coke and the long delay after finishing our appetizer until they took our entree order and the delay to get our check.They need a lot more staff. I felt bad for the employees. The fries were also cold. The first batch AND the replacement batchand the hamburger steak was well done instead of medium as I had specified but I wasn?t about to wait another half hour or moreto get a correct order. It?s a shame. They have a nice place and nice people but they need more help and a more consistent foodquality to make it work. I hope they can turn it around, but we won?t be back for the foreseeable future, if at all. Life is tooshort. Went for lunch on a Tuesday and got the chicken tender basket. The chicken tenders were delicious and fresh. The fries were too... greasy for my liking, but hard to complain when the meal is cheap. Our server was very nice and friendly, which makes me want tocome back. The food is cheap and good, but not good enough to write home about. Read more
Hard to get quality to-go orders in the late afternoon, even when I call ahead and they're not busy. I've even had several... visits where I have had to wait a long time for service. I like their setup with two bars and lots of seating. It's very casualand clean. My dine in experiences have been great as far as the quality of the food was concerned. This is a good place for food and music but not for smoking folks. Even in the bar part you can't smoke in there even though... they have a big air conditioning control system that pulls the smoke out I'm a allergic to smoke and it has never bothered methere because of their system. But now they are stopping smoking altogether in the bar part . I wish them the best on that . Idid really enjoy going there. But my husband is a smoker. So it's not going to happen when he will have to go outside tosmoke. Read more
