Forget your wallet, but being your appetite! We were not expecting the amount of food we were served here, especially at the... prices charged. It was right next to our hotel and we gave it a shot after looking at the great reviews, and we weren't letdown. It sounds like a lot of local folks love this place as well. Read more
This was my first visit to Splendora Cafe and BBQ and was a pleasant surprise! The restaurant exterior is so cute and interior... is nice and welcoming. Our server was very friendly and helped suggest items. She even told me about the off-menu veggie sideswhich were an excellent choice and she also let me know the meats that are most popular. We both got the two meat dinner whichcomes with two sides AND a salad bar trip. The salad bar was kept clean and had a large selection with all of their house madedressings. We had purchased a few pounds of brisket from Splenda Cafe & BBQ to take home last year. The brisket was alright, but not so... good that you'd want to eat it without any sauces or placed inside a sandwich. We figured that perhaps the meat would be betterif eaten at the restaurant. On this trip, we tried a variety of different foods along with the brisket. Although the food lookedgreat and was prepared correctly, the majority of the items fell just short of expectations in taste. No single item tasted badbut the only thing that everyone liked the best were the fried pickles. The food that tastes okay but didn't knock our socks offwere: the brisket, pork ribs, macaroni & cheese, and the rolls. The fries (regular), fried mushrooms, and fried okra were goodbut nothing special. The margaritas are a good size for $6 but aren't very strong. The waiter we had was friendly and therestaurant was clean. There are a ton more items on their menu that we want to try, so we plan to give them at least one morevisit before deciding if the trip there and the money are really worth it. Read more
Our Kind server, Abby, friendly and serviceable. The place looks amazing, the food was just right, and on time. Extra fixings... for the BBQ lovers like us. A nice size party room for private events, and celebrations. Parking was clean and open. No tight orawkward spaces, nice for a change. Bathrooms clean, and modern. Well, keeping it simple, y?all earn it, 5/5 stars is my rating. Read more
This place is really nice, the building and interior. It was Sunday about 1pm and the wait was not as long as I had expected.... The food was all great portions, I enjoyed a huge baked potato. We will for sure be going back to try more menu items! Read more

Most delightful, as usual. Food is fantastic. I love the salad bar beforehand. Servers are always on top of filling our drinks... and checking on us. Atmosphere is pleasant but wish the light over table wasn't so bright. Love the mints on the way out thedoor. Read more
