Float House is THE SPOT on River Road. Doesn't matter what you order - be prepared to wait. This ain't fast food. It's made with... love. Crack a cold beverage, enjoy your company and the scenery. This place is as "river rat" as it gets. Come hungry, chill andenjoy the mellow atmosphere. You won't be disappointed, and they'll always do what they can to make it right if something isoff. ???? Amazing burgers and best view on the river Guadalupe! Love coming here and they have everything you?ll need for the river... too?and clean bathrooms ????! This is one of the only restaurants on the Guadalupe River with a huge deck and waterfront tables. I have been dreaming about... their burger for over a year and am so happy to finally be able to make it down and introduce my dad to them as well. Superfriendly staff and plenty of entertainment from the river activities! Can't wait to come back and try a different burger than mygo to Bacon Cheeseburger in the photo. Delicious cheeseburgers, the fries were very good ,the onion rings were ok if you like frozen rings, but other than that really... good food, servers and cooks. Definitely come back to eat and float the Guadalupe river, they supply tubes and rides. Read more
Absolutely awesome! This place is your one stop shop to float the river. They offer tube rentals, shuttle, parking, restrooms,... drinks, food, and more! Once you arrive, park your vehicle and take only the things you'll need on the river. They have cleanrestrooms with a changing area. Check in/purchase your tube rental at the top main entrance, they will ask if you want a tubewith or without a bottom. Get a tube WITH a bottom, your bottom with be thankful later. They will also ask how long you want tofloat because they have different drop off locations and then you float back to your car. They offer a variety of trip lengths(1-2hrs, 2-3hrs, or 4-5hrs) all depends on the flow of the river. They will give you a ticket, walk down, hand it to the guysand they will get your tubes and load them onto the shuttle. The bus is literally an old school bus, bring a pen or sharpie ifyou want to sign your name on the walls/ceiling. The driver was friendly and informative stating the river was flowing good thatday and to stay to left or you'd encounter a drop off. They even have rope if you need some to tie anything down! If you'redoing a long trip, get a tube for your cooler and water proof bags for phone/wallet/keys. There is a chute which is fun! Andother spot where the speed picks up but it's nothing too crazy or that kids couldn't handle. The water depth was never more than4ft if that. We saw tons of turtles on branches/rocks. Fun to make a game out of it. You'll pass homes, rentals, restaurants,and other float locations of you need anything or should something happen. Once you've made your way back to the float house,you're sure to be starving and they have great tasting food for great prices. They have a variety of burgers, chicken strips,sides, fountain drinks, alcoholic drinks, and great seating with a view of the river. Sat on a picnic table in the river and ate. Their cheeseburger and onion rings are so delicious ????. The staff is very friendly... and helpful. Especially, Joe!!! Place is well kept up.
