Price a little high, but food is pretty good for a truck stop.
We had a wonderful breakfast here. Our waitress Tina was right on top of serving us. Delicious coffee(a must in my book) as was... everything else. When we asked what was in the area that was a must see Tina told us about Gruene. We were very happy we tookher advice. The next morning we went back to the Country Pride for breakfast again. We let Tina and her manager James know howmuch we enjoyed our meals. Tina works steady to make sure her customers are happy and taken care of ???????? Read more
I love the manager at this location. She is on her game and very friendly. They removed the buffet but ordering off the menu is... just as good. Read more

One of the worst breakfasts I have ever had. The biscuit was so hard and chewy I had to use my steak knife to cut it. Asked for... American cheese and big surprise I got cheddar. What a waste of time. The waitress was good. Read more
There's a place I go to meet my drivers as they come through New Braunfels. The service is always as best that they can be but... let's keep in mind this is a truck stop Travel Plaza buffet that stays on too long food that is tasteless and greasy, hence theterm greasy spoon. Read more
Stopped by on Aug 12 at 9-11am. Everything looked clean and staff was professional. Pam was our waitress and did a good job.... There was an older hispanic gentleman with glasses who was very helpful to customers, I saw him many times assisting bothEnglish and Spanish speaking customers.
