Good food. A little expensive. Had to wait on the fish but it was cooked fresh and was delicious.
Blah blah blah! We used to love this place but the chicken is so middle of the road now. Not to mention that the pieces... (specifically the legs) are laughably small. The leg was the size of a drumstick you'd get at a chicken wing joint-my give yearold ate 2 herself and was still hungry. The biggest problem I have when I stop here is how broke I feel when I pull away. Lastweek we got a 3 piece meal and the "special" which was like 15 or 20 tenders with rolls and for an additional amount we got afamily side dish-not including a gallon tea anymore. No big fan. Second visit in as many months. Chicken isn't horrible, just bland looking and plain. Biscuits lack any sort of... real traditional biscuit flavor. Just a bunch of dry dough. I've tried New Bruanfels and San Marcos locations. Simply not thebest chicken around. But not the worst either. Won't go again unless on last choice list. Read more

Chicken Express is one of the best places to get fried chicken tenders! They have good size tenders, and even if they do not... they will give you one or two extra to make up for a smaller tender. The tenders come with cream gravy that is excellent. Theyalso have a variety of sides. Our favorites are the green beans which are Italian style, the mashed potatoes and okra. I liketheir ice tea, especially during happy hour at $.50 which I believe is 2 to 4 PM but check that out. If you order the expresstenders it comes with a biscuit or a roll and gravy but that?s all, you have to order combo if you want a side and drink. If youlive in new Braunfels they often have coupons in a mailer that we use. We recommend Chicken Express! I also know that they arecommunity minded! Read more
This has always been my go to place after work. The employees are always so friendly and helpful and I have always had a really... good experience. However. This time. The chicken was so extremely dry. It smelled and tasted like it was old. I called up themanager, GLORIA( she refused to give me her last name) and very nicely explained we never had this problem before. GLORIA toldme, she had nothing to compare it too, what ever that means. And that she would give me 4 free pieces of chicken..Chickenexpress cost 23.00 for an 8 pieces. It is incredibly high. So yes,, I expect it to be edible. If it is inedible, and I explainedhow it was, she Should be more than willing to make it right..but all i got was attitude. ..and did I get upset and say a fewchoice words. yes I did, for she was the most rude.
