Fresh food ideas here and a welcoming and bright space to socialize. It can be a bit tight here when busy but not badly so. Food... is excellent. I had the grilled mahi sandwich and loved every bite. Fairly wide draft beer selection here as well and decentservice. Read more
The best shrimp and grits I've ever had. They had alot of other delicous looking items as well but I figured you couldn't go... wrong with the shrimp and grits. The grits, shrimp, and sausage were cooked to perfection. The staff and atmosphere were greatas well! Read more
The hosting staff acknowledged us promptly as we entered the restaurant. Though busy the wait time wasn't long maybe 5 minutes... before being seated. Our server Matthew wasn't very outgoing or engaging but wasn't rude, just strictly business andaccommodated our requests. The manager on shift Natasha was very nice and checked on our dining experience, though she shouldintroduce herself is my only critique. I had to ask who she was. She just came up to our table asking how was everything. Thefood came out hot and was delicious ????. For starters we had the artichoke and brussel sprouts dip with pita triangles, minusthe bacon. Main dishes Bourbon brown chicken over grits w/ sautéed squash and zucchini and Chicken and waffles. The strawberrylemonade w/ basil was really refreshing for an alcohol beverage. We went for my birthday on the recommendation of a local and the great reviews. I ordered a Downtown Elixer. It should have... been amazing but wasn't made properly because it tasted like a glass of lime juice. I even added sugar myself to try to salvageit. We asked for it to be exchanged for a French 45, which I've had before. Again, like lime juice. I decided I couldn't returna second drink. The kicker was: the server was pleasant but completely uninterested. No questions about how the second drinkwas, what was wrong with the first, or even how our meals were. My salmon was OK. Not spectacular, but good. My partner'shamburger was delicious. There's a lot of options when it comes to New Bern. I don't expect we will try this one again. Read more

My wife and I held our son's Rehearsal Dinner at The Chelsea, and we had a great experience! Chris and his staff were so... attentive to our needs, and our 80+ guest raved about the buffet! I could not make my mind up which was my favorite, Shrimp &Grits, Beef Tenderloin with Cabernet Demi Glace, or Brown Butter Barbecue Chicken.
