The food was amazing! I went with 4 other friends and we all loved it! I ordered the Chicken Tortellini Carbonara. Delicious?

So delicious. Friendly staff all around. Went on a Saturday night and after posting pictures my lunch buddies wanted to go, so... we returned on the following Tuesday. Also had to pickup dinner for my crowd for that night. To say we loved it is a tremendousunderstatement. If I lived in New Bern I'd never cook again. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. Everyone's taste aredifferent but I don't think you'll be disappointed. Waitresses treated every guest I saw like family. I actually went to thisrestaurant about 16 years ago when working in New Bern on a recommendation from a local. They were located in a strip mall backthen, but it was so good. To be honest, after the job was done I returned home to Washington NC and really just forgot aboutthem. Had a Dr's appointment a few weeks ago in New Bern and stopped to pickup some spaghetti from another restaurant. Aftersaid spaghetti was now selling for over $20.00 I thought about Paula's and checked to see if they were still in business. ThankGod they are and have now built their own building. Ordered the chicken piccata. I opted to have the chicken pieces sit on the spaghetti. The entire dish sat in a watery, greasy... sauce with a faint lemony flavor. Not a very appetizing presentation. Chicken seemed tired, too. Flavor was tolerable, but wouldnot order again. It was not at all what I expected. Quality at Paula's seems to have declined since the pandemic. Read more

Amazing place to eat, great family environment with a great selection of food. Bring a partner or a whole family and enjoy a... delicious and filling meal . I must say this, they have the best wings and shrimp Alfredo that I have ever tasted and I have hadwings from all over the country. The only issue is they are easy to drive past as the trees do kind of impact seeing their sign.But if you manage to make that quick right turn in to this amazing place. Alot more busy on a Wednesday night than I was expecting...The Ziti Carbonara with Chicken is absolutely delicious.

Shrimp and Calamari Marinara were amazing. The Lasagna was delicious as well. Even better the greeters and wait staff were... enthusiastic to be at work and pleasant to deal with. Will be back. Read more

Nice place. Service was good, fast and friendly, restaurant was well kept and clean from the lot to the interior. Food was okay,... home made from scratch, but very bland with the exception of the breadsticks. Love Italian food but among the others Italianeateries in New Bern I'm not sure the flavours are comparable to theirs, thus the 4 stars as everything was good but its foodfor its price and flavours.
