Service was the best thing about this place, sweet waitstaff. Unfortunately if you're looking to get full this is not the place... to go. I didn't get enough food and I ordered the shrimp po boy and fries. Everything tasted great, but the basket of fries wasnot full. Then I ordered ice cream and it may have only been a scoop of ice cream when I was told it was going to be two scoops.It ended up costing two adults and a child almost forty dollars to eat!! Yikes! Stopped here the other night. It's my 1st time at this Hwy55. Was greeted as I entered and was immediately waited on. The... parking was a little tricky. I could have parked on the grass like the sign said. The cheese steak looked and tasted different.Not better, not really worse, just different. The steamed roll looked and tasted different. It wasn't as steamed and seemedthicker. The fries were hot and fresh. Had to go to counter for a refill. Plenty of staff, and someone was training. It seemedlike there was confusion among the ranks. The trainee and trainer had waited a table not in there section. Seemed a little highstress to me... Restaurant clean and orderly. Not sure if I'll return to this particular Hwy55. Read more

Just reopened with corporate. Staff is very friendly. Food is back to delish. Mouthwatering. Picture of the Carolina Burger.

Very disappointed. Had been craving the cheesesteak, dined in and it was so greasy, skimpy on meat and the mushrooms and onions.... Onion rings were from bottom of the bag and coating was off and they were burned. Tater tots were only good part. Waitress was asweetheart but overwhelmed while other waitress sort of just floated around. Cook apologized for onion rings but we would havebeen happier if we were told they were all out instead. The food tasted great but I was shocked at the rude customer service that night. This cheesesteak firstly had limited meat and... that was supposed to be two orders of fries. I have to say I used to really enjoy this place, They used to be called Andy's, but now they change the name to highway 55 quite... a few years back now. Is the some particular reason the Burger tasted off and the Patti did not feel right while eating it. And it's actually kind of odd for an old fifties style restaurant Not to have root beer In a fountain drink. And whenever youask about root beer they always mention Dr Pepper as a suitable replacement. Read more
