Oh my goodness, everything was delicious! Hands down the best brisket I?ve ever had, but everything we tried was great! We got... the brisket, pulled pork, & sausage. We also tried the potato salad, pinto beans, Mac & cheese, and pasta salad?everything waswonderful! Definitely worth the drive! Great & friendly service also! :) Read more

Flavor: B+ Service: A- Tea: A Solo dining: A This place doesn't look like much from the outside but there are some gems inside.... The ribs were top-notch - so moist and tender that they literally fall right off the bone. Very flavorful, too. I was lessimpressed by the brisket - mine was a little tough and dry. The burger is a unique creation but the patty needs some help. Themac and cheese is good and so is the sausage but neither are remarkable. The potato salad is somewhere in between yourtraditional mustard-based potato salad and your heavily-mayo-based twice baked potato type. It wasn't my favorite but I'm not ahuge dill fan. The crew is very friendly and service oriented. Unfortunately one of them couldn't answer some of my menuquestions which is the only reason they didn't earn an A. The ribs definitely leave me wanting to come back! Read more

Arrived right at opening with a small line to order on a Sunday. I ordered the sandwich meal with the ranch pasta salad and a... quarter pound of sausage. Unfortunately, they did not have peach cobbler. I was provided a table number and took a seat. My foodcame out within 5 minutes. My brisket sandwich had nice, hot cuts of both marbled and lean meat - very delicious! The ranchpasta salad was good - I would probably try something else next time. Both the spicy and regular BBQ sauce had a nice flavor.Employees came around to make sure we didn't need anything else and to pick up our trash. The restaurant itself was very wellkept and clean including the restrooms. I was very satisfied with the service and food quality - money well spent! Read more

Really exceptional BBQ that's far and above anything you're going to find in the SA metro. Rabel's is a little out of the way... but 100% worth the time it takes to get there. They're smoking with hickory (as God intended meats to be smoked) rather thanjust buying cheaper cords of mesquite. Their sauce is on point and the pulled pork sandwich was the best I've had in years. Getthe jalapeno bun if you order any of the sandwiches because it adds a nice flavor that melds well with the meat without addingany noticeable heat. The staff was great and the pitmaster actually took the time to swing by our table for a chat. It was anawesome experience all around. We'll be coming out of our way to return in the future because it was really that good. Read more
