If you're looking for a cheap family owned old school dinner this is the place. They have your staple food items for a dinner:... fish and chips dinner, club sandwich, several different kinds of omelettes, ect. My go to when coming to this place is theChicken and Cheese Hoagie, the cheese is always so creamy that it makes the grilled chicken, peppers and onions melt in yourmouth. They offer ranch or a dressing for the sandwich but it doesn't need it. The fries are very bland but just add some saltand pepper to them and they'll be fine. Read more
Stopped in on a Friday. Ordered 2 coneys each with onion rings and fries. Coneys were tasty. Onion rings tasted like something... was missing..fries were cheap small ones. We were hoping for crinkle cut ones. Prices a little on the high side for a Coney.Service was very good. Read more
The service was fantastic, however... My husband and I both ordered breakfast foods, and a few hours after we got home, we were... both dealing with nausea/upset stomachs. Gus's used to be my dad and I's favorite breakfast place. Now it's just a run down dump. I asked for over easy, I received the... most cooked one, though it was still too raw even for over easy. I felt like going into the kitchen and teaching them how tocook! My husband is the only one that managed to eat his eggs, and he got sick! Read more
Detroit and Flint area Coney Islands are THE BEST!! It doesn't matter what time you eat here; it will be outstanding! Gus's had... an amazing fajita salad. It was excellent on the evening I had it in the restaurant and almost just as good when I shared it forlunch the next day! Service was exceptional! Food arrived quickly, correctly, and pleasantly.
