Reviews for Sushi at Nourish in Nevada City, CA
This restaurant refused inside dining service to a disabled veteran and his service dog. Nourish discriminated against... this veteran, and willingly violated the law without apology. Per the Americans with Disabilities Act, "Under the ADA, State andlocal governments, businesses, and nonprofit organizations that serve the public generally must allow service animals toaccompany people with disabilities in all areas of the facility where the public is allowed to go." This company needs toeducate itself regarding the ADA. Until they make this right, I will not support this restaurant! Read more

I love this place!!! They have fun spins on sushi, a nice casual vibe and really quality food. I personally think it is the best... sushi restaurant in town. I have had uncomfortable experiences at the other sushi restaurants in Nevada city acting as though mypartner and I or friends of ours are unwelcome because we look more casual and younger then the normal crowd there. Sushi AtNourish is nothing but welcoming with wonderful staff, good food and happy customers. If you haven't gone you gotta try it! Read more
Edit: Amending my review because I?ve had more success and the customer service has been good and I?ve really been enjoying the... sushi! Good sushi but impossible to ever successfully order (if someone actually answers the phone). I?ve been able to actuallyget food basically 2/8 tries. I give up. Read more
The food itself was really whitewashed, it didn't feel like you were eating traditional sushi. Safeway sushi is more... traditional. The fish wasnt fresh so they put lemon and Thai sauce on every piece including the sashimi. The service wasterrible. Everytime I ordered something off the menu the waitress would stare at me blankly saying no words. I had to point atevery item. Which I was then told they are either out or she had to ask the chef. These were some pretty basic items aswell, beer, hammachi, salmon. Then every time our waitress dropped food at our table she'd slap it down and run away. Never to returnto ask if we needed refills, dessert, you name it. We even had to chase her down and ask for the check. The vibe was terriblethey have paintings of woman missing their eyes on the wall just staring at you the entire time you eat. And they just let 15party stand outside the door for a half an hour just partying. At one moment someone in our party went to their car in which aserver then took the chair they were sitting in for another table without asking us. We had to ask for it back in which we got arude response. For overpriced sushi the whole experience was under delivered. Read more
My husband and I are vegan and while we have visited NC many times we never had been to Nourish. Wow!!! What a pleasant... surprise! It was fresh, lovely to look at and delicious! One of the rolls was wrapped in thinly sliced lemon and it was sodelightful and unique! They were very mindful of Covid "rules" too. We will definitely be back the next time we're in town! Read more
These guys don?t take being in business very seriously. When you say you?re open till 9 and you close at 8 despite having... interested party?s well maybe that?s why the other sushi restaurants are full of people and you?re not. The food is ok. As I?vetried it before but the service sucks. Go to sushi Q instead. I?ve never had a bad experience there. Read more
This has got to be the dumbest restaurant owner ever. Not only does he discriminate against veterans and service dogs, but is... then is short sighted enough to argue with the customer base on public forum! Then, instead of admission of his wrong doingwhen presented the facts, he chooses to argue and delete/block comments. Avoid this awful human at all costs! Read more
