I hadn't been here for quite some time. Went online first to view their menu, still the same, with my favorite selections. When... I got there I was confused. The restaurant is now sushi and by reservations only.. You can still order from a very condensedmenu (without my faves ????) and take it outside to eat on the patio. The staff at deli counter were extremely friendly &efficient. The food was delicious and the patio is lovely. There were no trash cans anywhere outside, had to go into store todispose of our trash. A little disappointing that things had changed so much but I will still come back. Read more
The California Grill restaurant permanently closed in August/September of 2022. This closure was made by the new owners. Of the... 42 or so breakfast, lunch, and dinner items on the old menu, only about 16 items are now available to order at the Deli counterfrom 11am to 3pm Monday thru Friday only. Takeout phone orders are not accepted. Table service is gone. The wine and beer bar isgone. I will miss the family and group celebrations for birthdays and the fabulous menu which I enjoyed for the last 20 years. Asad farewell to a long enjoyed popular restaurant. Read more
This is my second time being here (and second review of being here). I love this place! It was just as great the second time as... the first. Our waitress was training a new waitress and they were both amazing. I ordered the vegan power salad and a mimosa.Both crazy delicious. My daughter got the cheesy garlic twists and onion rings and loved them! I can’t wait to come back thenext time I’m in Nevada City, thanks so much! Read more
I've been shopping here since I moved to the area over a year ago, but have never eaten at the restaurant. I've gotten grab and... go sandwiches and deli items; they are always tasty and fresh. We ate at the restaurant and got a burger and fries and a clubsandwich with gluten free bread. They have a ton of GF options, just about everything on the menu. The meat is absolutelydelicious, really high quality, and the fries are indeed fresh! Service was friendly and efficient. I honestly feel like for thequality-to-price value, you can't beat it. I'm sorry I didn't eat here earlier but I definitely will again! Read more
Really happy we have something like Cali O in town. My partner and I go here often to grab a bite to eat. We love their burgers-... from the black and blue, to the portobello burger to the kale salad, curry coleslaw, curry fries, chicken wings... it’s all sogood & made with quality ingredients. The cafe is a true gem in this wonderful little Northern California town which is my favorite getaway place. I always love... discovering new places just when I thought all possibilities have been exhausted. The menu offerings are so original, theingredients so fresh and the portions so generous, how can such a combination be surpassed? By the friendly service and smilesall around, that's how!
