Went in on Saturday night around 730pm. Terrible service. Server took out drink/food order, dropped off both our appetizer and... our mains at the same time, then we never saw her again. Appetizer (perogies) were delicious. My GF seemed to enjoy her wrap, but I made the terrible decision to order the stew. I wouldn't feed that to an animal. The potatoes were unseasoned and had bigchunks of stale crunchy mashed potatoes in it. The garlic bread was burned. The "beef" was almost entirely chunks offat/gristle. Our server never once came to check on us, just brought us our bill (which we hadnt even asked for yet) and didn'tsay anything about my nearly untouched food. She just seemed to be watching TV/watching the live band instead of actually doingher job. Completely unacceptable Read more

Why wait 50 min to get a burger that looks like this and it is not good! For $21+tx+service so $27, is the ambience worth it!... Not really! Read more

The Barley Mow is a Barrhaven institution. It's a great place for good drinks and great food. They have an excellent daily... special menu. Definitely come for Thirsty Thursday and their $5 drink and food specials. My family loves coming on the weekendfor their Brunch offerings, it's affordable and filling and best of all, kids eat free on Sunday! Read more

Worst dining experience ever. Came in for lunch, only few tables, not busy at all. Waited 45 minutes for the food to come for 2... adults and 1 kid for the table. The chicken wings was dry and cold, the pita is all dried up, the salad was not fresh. All thefoods were cold when send to the table. After sitting almost an hour waiting for the food to come, if it?s delicious, nocomplaints at all. But the food was served cold and dry, it feels super disappointed!! Read more

I went with my family for dinner. Our server was friendly but made a mistake. I ordered wings & fries, cajun dusted, but when I... got them, they were sauced with what tasted like honey garlic. My bigger issue was with the food. Most of the wings had brokenbones, showing that their supplier is cheap and probably pumps the chicken with hormones to grow them quickly (I usually onlyhad broken wings when I used to buy frozen wings from the grocery store). On the other hand, the fries were great (well salted &crispy), and the garlic ranch was as good as or better than the garlic dill from St. Louis Bar & Grill. The other people I waswith ordered the Blackened Chicken Sandwich and complained of over seasoning causing a grainy texture and terrible aftertaste. Read more

So much went wrong. The service was slow. They got the order wrong. The food took forever to come. Some of it was uncooked. It... was a really not a great experience. The manager reduced our bill which was nice. That's why 2* instead of 1*. Read more

Food was incredible, 10 outta 10. Service needed some work. Server had to ask what I ordered a couple times, asked me twice... what beer I ordered and forgot a side of gravy until I was almost done my fries. Not sure if this is one of those places thatdon't believe in letting servers write down the orders but make sure your people have the right tools for the job. Still, foodwas probably some of the best I've had in Ottawa, worth a second visit for sure. Read more
