Ok, first off the fellow that took my order is top notch, not sure if he is the owner but great service. Thanks for the extra... pickles. They are wicked. Now for the sub. I tried the hook and ladder. I'm new to Ottawa and I've never heard of this subcompany. I'm the chef of a very nearby restaurant and tonight I wanted something different. I've eaten a lot of subs in my lifeand hands down in my opinion, best sub I've ever had. The bread is so good and the sandwich is built in a way that every bitehas a bit of everything. Their pizza and meatball sub is out of this world. Add bacon to it and you will love it!

I?ll never eat at Subway again. I have tried just about every kind of sub now and there isn?t one I haven?t thoroughly enjoyed.

Just happened to be in the area and the Firehouse subs restaurant caught my eye. I thought, why not give it a try. The first... thing I noticed was it's interesting firehouse style interior and the boldy colourful decor. This made me feel that I was in ahigher level sub shop. I ordered the Smokehouse beef and cheddar medium sized brisket and enjoyed it. The meat and bbq saucewere very favorable and the sandwich was complemented well by the fresh bun. I wished that it was a bigger sandwich, but, whenlooking at the suggested calorie rating for that type of sandwich I think what they provide is more than enough to satisfy mybody needs. The staff were friendly and service met my expectations. I will come back again when in the area and I think youwill enjoy Firehouse subs as well.
