Akai bowl at Bayshore Mall in west-end Ottawa is an amazing place with some of the most delicious desserts you will ever eat. I... had passed by it several times and I am glad that I finally tried it. The actual açai fruit pulp is delicious and has only asmall amount of added sugar. The flavour is complex and wonderful; and the consistency is rich and creamy. We opted for bowlsin which we added various fruits and nuts. It was a wonderful dessert and I will be back very soon. Also, the venue lookssuper modern and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I?ve had açai in smoothies before but they were just addition to a smoothie. This was my first real experience having an açai... bowl fresh with ingredients surrounding it as the main star. When I came inside the store I was met with a women who introducedthe fruit to me and even gave me a sample so I can try and wow! I was so amazed!!! It had a gelato consistency but way wayhealthier! I knew I had to get the açai bowl to try! I love it! There are so many toppings to add and the açai is layered inbetween! She helped us pick the ingredients to match what we like and when we were unfamiliar with certain ones she would giveus a small sample so we can pick the right ingredients to build a perfect açai bowl! The. Best. Smoothies. In. The. City. I got two smoothies from here, and both of them were so very delicious. One of them even... had amazing Brazilian chocolate in it. The prices are amazing for the product you get. The owners are also some of the kindestpeople in the city. Their assortment of Brazilian cookies and chocolates is amazing.
