Reviews for Pirate Cove Resort & Marina in Needles, CA
Tonight is my first night at Pirates Cove, and I truly cannot wait for my last. The insects, NOT BUGS, have made my trip... terrible. It?s expected to come across moths, crickets, and etc. But as I?m preparing to go to sleep, I find a spider and TWOROACHES come from my vents and/or closets. Also, as I?m checking into my room, it?s infested with flies. Moving on, the food isOVERPRICED so be prepared to cook please. The restaurant workers weren?t as welcoming, maybe a long day? But, I orderedMozzarella sticks (6) with a cup of marinara sauce for $16 for them to me pre-heated. I?m normally optimistic but my experiencehere has been horrible so far. Read more
We loved being able to take the boat / jet skis here straight off of the river and pull out back and park. The whole place was... decorated really cool, it felt like we were on a tropical vacation. I removed one star because of the super ridiculous pricesfor basic bar food. Kids chicken nuggets were $10 for two tiny chicken strips and a few fries. Pina Colada was amazing, probablythe best mix I?ve ever tasted. The bucket however was not worth $45! Everyone agreed it tasted watered down. Read more
The staff is was awesome, friendly and patient. That being said, I feel there are some things that 1st time guests need to... know. If you are bringing your boat and want to put it in one of their slips, you MUST have boat insurance, and the slips are anextra cost. Also, bring your own non stick skillets as they do not provide, only stainless steel. Our coffee maker was a typeof Keurig machine and we brought regular coffee because the amenities listed a coffee maker with coffee pot. Those were the onlydrawbacks. We had an excellent time and will definitely be back next year. Read more
We have been coming to Pirate's Cove (Moabi Park) for over 25 years, never disappointed. This year was exceptional! We reserved... the bar for our kick off gathering. The service was above and beyond our expectations, from the shuttle driver, the servers, person bartender and many thanks to Dee and Shelly in (Marketing) to make our visit such a memorable one!!! What a better place to launch a boat compared to nearby waters like lake Mead. We have a 41ft boat and had no issues. The water... deepens quickly and the launch area was clean, has plenty of ready area and was fairly uncrowded even b4 4th of July weekend. All boaters are friendly and helpful and not too far away there are plenty of amenities and food places to check out. Alsoplenty of places to beach your boat and just chill for a while. Read more
We haven't stayed here, but we take our boat there to eat at the restaurant and play on the beach. Food has been amazing. We... have tried the Baja fish tacos, chicken strip, fried calamari, and fish and chips and it was all bomb. Did not disappoint. Theservice is amazing as well. Every server and employee is so nice! We went for a day trip. The view was awesome and loved the beach and cabanas. Only wish they would do more about boats parking... in the sand instead of docks. Multiple boats cane in and were only there to eat and drink at the restaurant but took up all ourspace at the beach. We were forced to leave because we were left with such a little area. Read more
Great place. Some friends and I ended up here by mistake and I must say it's very nice. You can spend the night here, barbecue,... admire the river and do many water activities. Read more
