I really don't like leaving bad reviews but I felt like I had to. I'm a big bbq fan and this was probably the worst I've had.... The Mac n cheese was pretty bad. Kraft would have been an improvement. The potato salad looked and tasted like it was literallyjust potatoes, watered down mayo, and dill. The meats were all sub-par at best. The biggest offender was the sauce. I reallydon't know how somebody could create that and be proud of it. Overall, this place is just tourist trap slop. Get some applecider and go grab lunch elsewhere. Read more

The location is beautiful. It had a very rustic feel. However... They did not carry most of the things listed on the menu (they... didn't even have Mac n' cheese). The portions were very small for the price. Both their house barbecue sauces tasted like browntomato paste. The brisket was juicy, but very little flavor. The pulled pork was tasty, but dry. And their coleslaw was verybland. Read more

In town for the festival. Ordered the pulled chicken plate, slaw for the side. Ordered a side of cornbread too. I wish I would... have taken a pic. It was like they threw some sauce on my plate, with some chicken pieces added. The coleslaw was flavorless. The cornbread was okay but where was the butter? So disappointed. $25 with tip. Not money well spent. Read more

Went here for the apple Jack festival at dinner time. They were out of pork, brisket, Mac and cheese, and cornbread. Th ey... shouted out that they were out of the meat, but not the other sides. We stood in line for 30 minutes to find out they didn?thave what we wanted. First, they should have been prepared. Second, disclose on a sign what you?re out of. We ended up havingpulled chicken which was mediocre. Will not be back. Read more

The good: clean and inviting space. Beautiful surroundings outside. Friendly staff. The BBQ beans are a excellent. The bad:... overpriced and out of almost everything by 2:30 on a Sunday afternoon. $16 for a small portion of pulled pork, small side and asoda. The pulled pork was average at best. Read more

I?ve eaten at Porter?s about 10 times now. There is a great mix of smoked meat to choose from. The brisket is always on point.... The pulled pork is SOLID, and the burnt ends are amazing. I have come here with my kids, eaten solo, and also eaten with a groupof friends. The outdoor atmosphere during the fall is worth the drive from Lincoln or Omaha just to be in beautiful scenery andeating great food. Parent tip: take your children to the tree adventure in the morning. Go to Porter?s for lunch, and watch themget a double portion of their daily protein. They?ll love it. Read more

This was probably the worst bbq experience I've ever had. I ordered a burnt ends and added extra burt ends with the burnt ends... baked beans. The baked beans weren't cooked all the way through and were crunchy, not only that but the over taste wasn't good. Their coleslaw which I had to order extra because the meal only comes with 1 side was runny and the cabbage looked to bechopped by hand but the chunks weren't even close to the same size and overly vinegary. The burn ends them self were prettygood. The bbq sauce wasn't great and I had to ask for it because they forgot to put any in my container. My buddy got a choppedbrisket sandwich and the saving grace was the sausage the brisket was bland. Paying 20 dollars for a burnt ends meal and 15something wasn't worth the food we got. The side were thrown away because they were inedible. This is a cute location and maybewe caught them on a bad day but I wouldn't recommend anyone go to this bbq joint. Read more

Legit BBQ! They have done their research and nailed the taste and presentation with true Southern-style pulled pork, Texas-style... brisket (that is REALLY Texas style) and the infamous Kansas City-style burnt ends. My favorite side is the baked beans handsdown. I seriously can?t get enough of this place. Read more
