Great vibes even for a Tuesday night. My partner and I got a chicken sandwich, 4pc wings, onion rings, fries, and a beer on tap... and the sum came out to $60 before tip. A little pricey for what we got but the food was good. Read more

Awful. I don't normally write reviews but we were just harassed by staff here. 6pm on a Saturday we walk in, through the open... door with a "please wait to be seated sign," only for a group of drunk individuals at the the bar to start yelling at us thatthey're closed. They then say they work there, although we had no way of knowing this as no one was in uniform or behind thebar. Someone started saying that there is anthrax at the bar and that is why they were closed. We pause somewhat confused onlyfor a blonde “server/bartender” to start yelling louder at us. (I will also add that one member of our party is hard ofhearing and literally could not tell what was going on or why we were being yelled at.) We leave and as we are standing outsidetrying to understand what just happened and figuring out where to go next, the blonde storms outside to continue yelling "WE'RECLOSED, you can leave now." Next, she decides to start insulting us and for some reason our rain jackets in particular offendedher. One of the guys literally had to drag her back inside. I have never been literally chased out of an establishment whilebeing verbally attacked by a drunk employee for daring to walk inside the open door during normal business hours. Read more

Want to be verbally abused by staff? Enjoy walking into an onslaught of complete disarray? Always wanted to enjoy your night... with drunk and abusive staff? Well then, head on over to The Exchange for just this experience! Imagine it's a rainy Saturdayevening. 6ish, you see a "please wait to be seated" sign at an open door. You walk in and immediately start getting bombardedand yelled at by people sitting at the bar. They say that they are staff. That they're closed. There's anthrax at the bar. Thena server/bartender with long blonde hair keeps yelling at you even louder. We turn around and head back outside. Outside we'retrying to make a game plan for where to head next. Same blonde comes running out the still open door and starts yelling "we'reclosed" and insults our jackets. Literally just got done with a downpour and you're such a child to comment on this. Great{insert sarcasm}. Another guy from inside had to literally drag this chick back into the bar. I have never been treated likethis from any establishment. You'd think that post pandemic you'd treat your patrons a little better. Read more

I was surprised how delicious the chicken cheese steak was. The Bar was very clean. The staff was super nice. The chicken... tenders wear really big. The chicken tenders were actually adult size. Read more

We came to DC and came across The Exchange This is a gem of a find. We were welcomed with great service, great food (homemade... crab cakes), great beer selection and conversation with bartenders and a couple local patrons who shared insights on what to seeand do in DC. The Exchange got our visit to DC started in the right direction. Wonderful experience. Read more

Our group drove in from parts from Louisiana and Alabama (12 plus hour drive), to visit our Nation’s capital, and we really... need a drink. So on a whim we popped into this place and the I have to say, we appreciated Philip and his hospitality . He waskind, attentive, and genuinely did his best to make sure we had what we needed. He was busy but the effort this man put intomaking sure we were taken care of, makes me appreciate this place. If your in town, swing a leg on chair and grab a drink, meetPhilip and enjoy yourself ! This is, without a semblance of a doubt, the worst bar in DC. If Volo didn't force people to come here after kickball there is... no chance they would be in business. They seek pleasure in gouging their patrons. 25 dollar minimum for cards? sure. Bud lightpitchers for 21? Fantástico. 20% built in gratuity? Of Course, but keep it a secret so that others tip out of generosity. It isyour patriotic duty to avoid this local. Read more
