Other than the tight, small space they offer you to eat in, I had a real good time here. One of the best hidden gems in DC. They... have a very large drink menu and the bartender did not disappoint. One sip and I felt it. The chefs in the back cooked us avery delicious meal. We had stuff haddock with crab and pork chop with gravy on it. The portions was nice, I couldn't evenfinish it. Perfect little dive bar with great eats. Read more

"Best drinks in town" and they mean it. Service is always top notch. Very welcoming staff, other guests are friendly, inviting,... and are always open to share conversation with you. If you're looking for the place to rub elbows with the real people fromDMV, this is the spot. You will definitely enjoy your time here. Wings, potato skins, and mozzarella sticks are a must have! Found this spot on Eater and I?m glad I did. My research always pays off. A true local, underground gem. Poured some of the... coldest beers I?ve ever had. I got a half order of the fried chicken and it was phenomenal. Mumbo sauce definitely had some heatbut wasn?t overwhelming. Great value here for a big city like DC. I would recommend this place to anyone. Read more

The restaurant was within walking distance to our hotel, Washington Plaza Hotel. Service was quick and the food was good. We... had a half order appetizer of baked wings which were amazingly crispy on the outside and juicy inside with a delicious rubbedseasoning that was finger-licking good. My husband and I got the halibut. I wanted the stuffed option but didn?t realize therewas actually a difference of stuffed vs. just broiled/baked. This entree came with a vegetable side (broccoli the night we werethere) and baked potato. My son had the 14 oz Ny Strip. Same sides. The steak was seasoned well and was cooked perfectly forour 12 year old who ate every bite. I didn?t give a 5-star because it was so loud and the tables were so close together we hadto literally move the tables to get in and out. We were forced to sit in between two separate parties and listen to theirconversations. If ever in the vicinity again, we?d only order takeout for the wings as the basement bar scene was not conducivefor a family with children dinner spot. Read more

Stan's have the STRONGEST BEST DRINKS IN THE DMV. NO LIE OVER 100 DRINKS ON THE MENU AND YOU ONLY NEED ONE! I have never been to... Stan's and not ordered wings until last night lol. The Salmon that was stuffed with Crab was on point. The girls next to us wasironically from my hometown Memphis; and we initially bonded over the fact one of them got the Shrimp and Chicken Pasta which Iwas torn between getting. She told me it was extremely good! I'm getting that next time I go! The guy next to all of us waslike I never seen anyone get anything other than wings. This is hilarious because me either including myself until last night.Moral of the story: Stan's whole menu go so get more than the wings! Read more

We wanted to try out a local DC place while we were in town, and Stan's stood out to us among the choices from the glowing... reviews. When we arrived at around 4pm we were the first ones there, but the place was soon packed! We ordered the chickenAlfredo, the baked wings, the fried wings, and a bacon cheeseburger with fries. Our waiter was very friendly and answered ourquestions patiently. When the food arrived we dug in and wow, the reviews were right! All of our food was excellent, some of thebest dishes we've ever had. Stan's is a standout place to eat. Make sure to try the wings! Read more

Now let me tell you.... This place was beyond crowed but soooo worth it. Dark and mysterious. Food was good, bit that's not it,... the drinks were out of this world. Our eyes were bigger then our stomach. Wings was the best, steamed shrimp was firm, and letme not start on the calamari. 10s across the board. Read more

We randomly found this place for dinner. It?s on a basement level, you go down stairs to get in but the food was so very good!... The Calamari is a MUST try! The service was good for the most part. It wasn?t a wow experience but I would go again if I was inthe area. I did have a basement smell in there but it was quite clean. The portions were large. The drinks ok. Read more
