visiting dc , we went to I Ricci last night. the staff was friendly. there were not many patrons at this time. looking over the... menu , we couldn't find pasta, in this Italian eatery. chicken parm - served without pasta. a simple plate of spaghetti - notavailable. the waitress was nice , but it the offerings lacked . she did say you could get pasta , but couldn't point it out. we made a mistake making a reservation - we left very disappointed .JDS/CT Read more

Very nice experience! Was taken here for dinner and had the tortellini entree.... delicious! Also enjoyed the prosciutto and... caprese salad for appetizers. Our servers were knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations on the meal selections. Read more

Seriously some of the best pasta I've ever had. My family has been going here since I was a kid and we have to come back... every-time we're in DC. The staff is awesome, the appetizers are on point and I just love everything about this place. Theyalways seem to be trying new things and changing up the menu over the years as well, but in a good way. Couldn't recommend itenough. Read more

Absolutely delicious food - and that comes from two foodies who lived in Naples, Italy for half a dozen years! "Molto buono" as... they say! We had dined here the other night, as my wife had purchased a groupon for our up-coming anniversary, but then welearned that DC was making drastic changes to dining in, due to covid, so we rushed in. The inside was warm and inviting -tables were set apart and wait staff stayed well away, while wearing masks and gloves the entire time. The focaccia was servedin individually wrapped portions, and was tasty, full of texture and a perfect accompaniment to our meal! We both had thescallops and mushroom appetizer, which I thought was delightful, especially as I had never before seen such a pairing. Coupledwith just a few pieces of gnocchi to give it some substance, I thought it was perfect. I had the rigatoni for my main dish andit was perfect - if I closed my eye, I could have been in Tuscany! My wife had the veal milanese (a more northern italian dish -akin to german weiner schnitzel) and really enjoyed it, complaining that they had given her too much food! For dessert, I hadthe house specialty, cheesecake, which was crusted with nuts and very tasty, yet unlike any other cheesecake I've ever had. Mywife had the semifreddo and raved about the wonderfully delicate layers of strawberry goodness the entire ride home. I almostforgot to mention, our waiter has worked at THIS SAME restaurant for 14 years. Suffice it to say, he knew the menu and hisrecommendations were spot-on! ALSO, this was the best (maybe the only?) place that we have been and not treated like secondclass citizens for using a groupon!! If you like great Italian food - this is your place! We'll certainly be back!! Read more
