I think is the best Italian pizza in DC. It's hard to find a pizza that is not ridiculously spicy and with a good crust. I... really like that it's inexpensive, you order on the counter and they bring the pizza to you table. That's how it should be...It's just a pizza. So, yeah, the best option on DC. This restaurant has also a very nice outdoor area, in the street in a quietand trendy neighborhood. Definitely the best option for a warm evening. Read more

Dupont look Dupont location of a good italian-style pizzeria. The crust is a little doughy. Outdoor seating.

A friend told me that the Mimosa Pizza from this place was their all time favorite pizza, so we had to try it when we were in... DC. My husband and I shared: - Frittura Sampler - Mimosa Pizza - Chorizo Pizza I was really impressed by the Frittura Sampler.Every single thing on it was fantastic. Both pizzas were delicious, but I preferred the Mimosa Pizza. Corn on pizza sounds alittle weird, but it was so good. I'm sure any of the pizzas with the cream sauce are amazing. I would definitely come back totry more of their pizza. Read more

Staying at an Air BNB just around the corner Pupatella was an easy walk on a chilly evening. Although the outside patio was... inviting we chose indoor. Grab a menu and find your own seat and place your order at the front. This was unusual but our tablewas well serviced by staff who bring plates and water upon seating and drinks and food promptly. It was more of a free form waitservice which was perfect, informal yet attentive. For a Friday night it was fairly quiet but they were busy. The large screenin our dining area was an overhead view of the kitchen preparing the pizzas and they were busy busy so I assume the takeout anddelivery were booming. The five stars is for friendly and engaging wait staff and the tasty pizza. Crusts are thin and slightlypliable more like a pita with the rim of the dough perfect with a light char from the wood fire. Ingredients were fresh andquite good. I could go on, because there?s a great back story to the place, but know this, they have multiple locations in theDC area so if you?re traveling here like we are, you should definitely give Pupatella a try if you like good pizza cooked in theNeapolitan style?only wish we had one in our town but finding a restaurant like this is part of the beauty of traveling, andthen there?s the beauty of lefties for tomorrow. ?Al buon cibo!? I was excited to try this place and placed a DoorDash order before heading out. I talked to someone on the phone and they... recommended 2 pizzas for 2 people which seemed perfect. Let?s just say we were EXTREMELY disappointed with what we received. Onepizza burnt without cheese, and the other COMPLETELY soaked in grease. The two of us tried share some of the more ?edible? pizzabefore having to head out still hungry. Would love some feedback if this is the norm from this place?? Read more
