Loved the ginger cookie! There was a large assortment of desserts when I visited in the evening, but it seems they run out of... some items in the morning. Read more

Eh, macaroons were ok, not my favorite but not bad. They were in our hotel so stopped but wouldn?t go out of my way to go here.

Initially, I was not going to post an online review. Yet, after reading the comments, I changed my mind. We, too, had a... similarly poor customer service experience. We stopped in yesterday to get cold drinks on a very humid day. We were waiting fora dinner reservation and decided to stroll along the waterfront. We have family visiting the area who had not been to the newwaterfront. The clerks/order takers, whatever they are called at this establishment, have apparently not been properly trainedas one could not tell us the available flavors for the frozen lemonade and the other one who assisted us gave us attitude fromthe time we walked in the door. A third person who appeared to serve in a management/supervisory role came out, and crudelyasked what we wanted. She took over making a frozen lemonade, which we ordered along with a large tea and regular lemonade. Thethree beverages came to $14 freaking dollars. The manager finally presented the frozen lemonade and I informed her that ourguest no longer wanted it yet because we paid for it we would take it. I told her that our guest did not like the way he wastreated by the staff. She feigned surprise and wanted to engage in a back and forth with us in her effort to seek a ?solution.?We wished her a nice day and left the establishment. After reading the reviews, many stating the same rude treatment by thestaff, I?ve determined that this manager is either clueless or on the same level as the staff who clearly do not need customerfacing roles in a business. I?m sure she will either ignore this comment or post the same pathetic apology that?s been postedfor over a year now. Read more

The Praline Bakery seems large for the few products they had when we visited them. Entering it, as it looked like an European... store from the outside, we were surprise at the very simple and kind of lack of personality of the store inside. Both maindisplays were basically empty but had great macaroons (specially the apricot and caramel ones!). Although the price per piecewas rather high for the size of the macaroons, (smaller than regular macaroons) the taste made it worth the price. The day wewere there they had Italian soft nougat bars in several different flavors. Although the price was also high the quality andtaste was great!!! We bought several of these bars and we enjoyed them very much!!! The girls at the counter were less thanfriendly!! Read more

If you've been to The Wharf in DC then you know it's filled with culinary gems. We popped into Praline Bakery for a snack, and... we were in awe of the variety they had to offer. This cute spot specializes in French pastries and they did notdisappoint! Follow us on IG for more foodie pics: @BrwndButter Read more

Near Hilton's Canopy at the Wharf is a Bethesda-based bakery owned by two pastry chefs who met while working at the White House.... Here's our experience visiting after ice skating (located at the other end of the Wharf): 1) Food: My four-year-old daughterand wife each got a macaroon- one chocolate and one raspberry. They both really enjoyed it. One makes for a great small snack, especially for a toddler. 2) Drinks: I ordered a small hot chocolate and loved it. It's thicker hot chocolate and less sweet. However, the thickness makes it very rich so a small was more than enough. 3) Space: It's awkwardly large for a pastry shop. However, the space allows for a few tables and plenty of room to social distance during the pandemic. 4) Service: The personworking was not warm, but attentive so no complaints.
