So fun to have such a well thought out and almost entirely vegetarian meal. Loved that it felt very seasonal. The veggies were... very tasty and the flavors were very interesting. Also had a very interesting Greek wine. Read more

What a delicious meal! Love that there is an entirely vegan option - everything was unique, tasty, and fresh. The space itself... has a great ambiance; only a handful of tables, so fairly quiet. Attentive staff (especially Jose!), and love the open kitchenand being able to watch all the work that goes into prepping each course. Cannot recommend Oyster Oyster enough - had waitedover a month after getting on the “waitlist”, and certainly did not disappoint! Read more

First time visiting this restaurant and very pleased with the evening and meal. I opted for the full vegan option which was only... modified for one dish where I received golden beets instead of the oyster. So many flavors throughout the dinner. We tried twodifferent bottles of Rose- one from Austria and one from Greece. The Greek one was a more traditional rose but I enjoyed both.Loved the plant forward menu which is difficult to find and it was done well. A quaint atmosphere and knowledgeable staff. Read more

If you are a vegan/vegetarian, you know how hard it is to find an accommodating (let alone quality) pre fixe experience in DC.... While most elevated dining relegates vegetables, at Oyster Oyster they are the star of the show. The restaurant wasaccommodating of my peanut allergy and made a creative special substitution to a course that was supposed to feature a peanutbroth. Our server Jose was hospitable, and knowledgeable. He guided us thoughtfully through each course of food and winepairing. The staff-to-table ratio makes it clear they are focused on quality service. Hats off to the chef and staff--verydeserving of their Michelin star. Will definitely be going back for the next season's menu. Read more

We were blown away. We had the fully vegan option and every mouthful wowed us. The thoughtful and seasonal flavors were out of... this world. The staff was knowledge, friendly, and attentive. The wine paring was perfect and included many wines we'd never hadbefore. Jose was the most delightful server ever and definitely enhanced our evening. We can't wait to come back! Read more

Amazing vibes & ambiance. Service was so friendly. One of those feelings you get when you meet a stranger but feels like... you’ve known for a while. Food was original, not group-think ideas, and just well-done and creative. Awesome homage to localfarmers. Only qualm was the maple cake & persimmon dessert fell a little flat. Will definitely come again once the menu cyclesthrough. Read more

One of the most inspiring, refreshing, and memorable tasting menus in DC! And for the price of $75, it’s an absolute steal... compared to some of the $200+ tasting menus I’ve tried. I had the 8 course, late summer harvest menu, and it was verydifficult to pick my favorite out of the bunch. I loved the innovative use of ingredients— from the celeriac stuffed withtofu to the pickled oyster perched atop a watermelon— all were fantastic and highlighted the use of seasonal and local items.I’m definitely going to remember the corn brushed with blueberry glaze - I could have eaten a whole cob! I’ve tried otherfine dining, vegetable-forward or vegetarian tasting menus, and my issue with those have been the extensive use of nuts orcarb-heavy items. This is not the case with Oyster Oyster! And you end up very full afterward. I can’t wait to come back andsee how their menu evolves with the seasons. Service was also fantastic, incredibly friendly, and unpretentious! Edit: Ienjoyed my experience so much that I came back soon after to try their 9-course “Cornucopia” early-fall menu. The chefs do aphenomenal job of capturing the essence of the current season in each course. “Cozy” would be the best word to describetheir latest fall menu. Oyster Oyster is one of the rare places I’ve eaten at that I felt was truly original. Read more
