There were flies in my drink!!! I recently ordered from here expecting high service like I usually get from this restaurant and... when I finally got my food I looked at my drink and when I unwrapped the plastic and stuck my straw in I took one sip and feltsomething clumpy in my mouth and spat it out only to see two more flies one was dead and the other was twitching. and saw whatlooks like a fly twitching in my drink. I do not blame my delivery guy because everything was wrapped up and he couldn?t see itbut the restaurant should have seen those three flies in my drink before wrapping the cup in plastic and sending it to me. This is my favorite go-to place (DC, Georgia Ave) when I want to have brunch and extend breakfast to lunch. The restaurant... opens at 10:30AM so I order then and this meal can last into dinner because of the portion size. Although in this pic there areonly 4 potatoes and a few pieces of meat, typically they include more meat and potatoes. Nevertheless, this "dinner" usuallycomes with curry chicken, cabbage and rice but the rice is too crunchy so I choose to double the rice. The food is delicious????. Read more
I wanted to really like this food but I?ve had Jamaican food that is much tastier, seasoned, and flavorful. I got the curry... chicken dinner and it was nothing to write home about. The jerk chicken pattie was dry. The portions are great though. Justwished the food tasted better! Read more
I typically eat at the Negril location in Silver Spring, but I was at work in DC and decided to try this one. So, I decided to... order a delivery through grubhub. Man oh man was this a bad decision... It was terrible!!!!! And I will never do it again. Thefood was promised for between 1:48-1:58 then they kept sending text messages saying the food was delayed. Apparently, therestaurant was running behind. My food finally arrived at 2:37p. Then the curry chicken was not fully cooked and was red. Therum cake tasted old and stale. I ended up throwing out the cake and took the chicken home to finish cooking it. After I cookedthe chicken it tasted better. And it was white like cooked chicken should be... Terrible!!!!! Do not waste your money at thislocation. You'll be better going to the one in Silver Spring, unless, you wanna eat here and get salmonella from uncookedmeat. But you wanna live and avoid a lengthy conversation with the bathroom go to the Silver Spring location, their food isfully cooked, taste good, and is fresh! Read more
It's becoming increasingly difficult to support businesses. Ordered the fried fish and soup for nearly $35. Soup was filled with... large chunks of potatoes and literally one small piece of chicken. If you order the soup its chicken flavored so don't getexcited. Fish was good! Read more
Sorry to report, it's a never again for me. I had the most flavorless jerk chicken & rice ever. The curry sauce was also bland.... The chicken patty was good, but the rest gets a hard no. Disappointed since they used to cook so good back in the days. Read more
