Got take out during restaurant week due to Covid. I must say I wasn't impressed overall. The only thing I really enjoyed was the... appetizer which had potato, chicken salad, diced tomatoes, some sort of sauce, and olives. The entree was shredded chicken insome sort of sauce which honestly has no taste. There was a random boiled egg that brought nothing to dish as well as threesmall pieces of plain yuca. I really like this little nook, located just a short walk from the main Dupont Circle area. I will say its pretty pricey... (entrees and appetizers alike start at $20+). The lamb was overly salty, but overall the food was fresh and flavourful. Myfavourite thing about this place is the ambiance. Had a decent meal here, but a few things worth noting. 1. Every now and then I run into a restaurant that brings out all the... food with lightning speed. This is one of those places. They brought our ceviche appetizer out within a couple minutes ofordering. Not sure why, but luckily I ordered the app first to avoid too-fast service. You'll definitely want to be a controlfreak with regard to service here if you don't want to be disappointed. 2. The Octopus also came out very fast, however wewaited until we were ready to order it. Still, it came out so fast that the impression was it was meant for another table andgiven to us. The dish was good but a bit on the chewy side and a little salty. The portion was great. 3. This is a pretty fun Peruvian place. I tried both of the vegetarian options, the cauliflower dish and the gnocchi, both of which... were good. The cauliflower tasted a bit Asian which was surprising but good. The maracuya fizz drink was excellent although verysweet. The pescado was perfect. We didn?t like the corn in the ceviche. The lomo saltado was very rich and delicious. Very goodsauce. The portion sizes were small for the price, but we may come back. Read more
The atmosphere is quite nice. Upscale, but slow. My meal was about 20 minutes after the rest of my table was served. FYI..There... is no children's menu but they do have stuff kids would like. The food was flavorful. The staff was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I would say though as someone... that doesn't eat meat. It would be nice to have more vegetarian or vegan options. Read more
