This seems to be our regular — rain coming, run into a great restaurant. Our waiter - Antonio was a star - knew everything and... made great suggestions. We started with the tomato salad with wonderful basil infused ice and balsamic “caviar”. The melon- prosciutto plate was excellent- with puffed fried pastry side. The gnocchi with truffle was perfectly cooked, which is alwaysthe hard part - getting the right tooth. A Bombolone and grappa were perfect ways to finish the meal. Read more
A very pleasant experience celebrating our one year anniversary at Modena. From arriving to ordering drinks, appetizers, and... entrees, everything flowed seamlessly. A huge shout out to our waiter, Victor, who recommended us some great dishes and told uswhat seemed to be a good amount for us to order. I definitely had the best polette and bolognese I have ever had. It pained menot to be able to take all the pics because I was sitting right in front of lights. We had another bar reservation made and hadto leave early without dessert. Will definitely make my way back there to make up my missing dessert some day! Read more
Good, but not the best value for money. $50/person for a shared starter, a main and a shared dessert was too expensive for what... it is. Having said that, the focaccia, gnocchi and tiramisu were very good. Fried artichoke not as good as advertised. Goodambience, but restrooms could be cleaner. Good service. Attire smart casual. Intimate, classy and great for different occasions. I saw a lot of couples, but there were also small groups of friends and what... looked like a company dinner in their private dining room. The décor is simple, but elegant. When you walk in, there’s a bigbar in front of you and dinning splits off to the right and left sides. The right side looks like their main dining room. Ourparty of two had a lovely dinner. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the different dishes. We started with theWoodfire Grilled Octopus 19, which went very well with the roasted pepper sauce on the plate. We also split the Tortellini inBrodo. I loved the flavor of the braised short rib. My main course was Modena’s Brodetto and it was the best dish of thenight. That lobster broth is to die for. I even tried the Spice Crusted Duck Breast and it was not even a close match. Of coursethe flavors are very different, but the Brodetto certainly wins. We ended our Modena experience with the Affogato Sundae AlCaffee. Great dessert, but the tall glass makes it a bit difficult to eat. Didn’t look like there was a whole lot of parkingin the area, so I recommend share ride/taxi or walking. Read more
Our 7th anniversary ? celebration was very special on so many levels. We went back at the place where we got married and the... whole experience was enhanced by 1. Their people! They love what they do. Thank you Dan and Victor for making us feel welcomeat home. 2. Their amazing food! This place was absolutely spectacular! I cannot say enough good things. I went with someone who needed gluten free food, and... they provided the most delicious options she has ever had. They hand mix the gluten free flour, and the bread is just amazing.The food with gluten was incredible, too! The gnocchi has truffle shaved on top and was some of the best I have had since Italy.Everyone was also so kind and friendly, and willing to chat about the food and answer any questions you might have. 5-star place without any doubts. The food and service were both excellent. I came here to celebrate the birthday of my... girlfriend, and we were not disappointed. They even offered us the birthday tiramisu on the house. I highly recommend gettingthe Porcini Crusted Venison, shown in the picture. Read more
