I?ve been to Mission plenty of times over the course of 5 years but this was my first time booking their event space and we... chose a semi-private room. First, Mission is an anathema among Mexican restaurants: Chips and Salsa are NOT included. That's $3.50, and it's served with... your dinner, so it gets eclipsed by your meal. Which is easy, since the salsa isn't great; it tastes weirdly sweet-- "LikeProgresso Spaghetti Sauce," said my dining companion. Service wasn't great. To her credit, our server did bring waters quickly,but that's where being impressed ended. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, and yet our table only got 2 menus for7 people. If we were checked on more, we probably would have ordered quite a few more drinks. The queso fundido was the bestthing there. My dining companions couldn't finish their burritos and enchiladas, they disliked them so much. They only had ranchdressing for their salads, which were lackluster-- I've had better at massive chains known for being subpar. The chips weremostly gone by the end of the meal, but the salsa remained. The last time I was here (prepandemic), they didn't have manyvegetarian options, and now they added mushrooms as an optional "protein" to add to your meal, which was great in theory, butnot all vegetarians like mushrooms. Not enough ice in marg pitcher! I mean come on, I?m all about alcohol content over quality sometimes but there?s a line. My... drink was not near cold enough due to the lack of ice. See photos of the amount of ice that came with the pitcher and the icethat came with the glasses. Got 3 drinks out of the pitcher. But not near cold enough for my liking. Read more
We really enjoyed this place. We had the Pineapple Jalepeno margarita and the top shelf. Bith were very good. We also had chips... and salsa. The nachos looked good too. It was a very busy outdoor patio. I would definitely recommend this place. Read more
Good Mexican food, excellent vibe. Went there on happy hour one Friday, the food is pretty decent as far as tacos go; but the... main takeaway is that the place is usually packed and full of life, so it?s a nice place to have a good drink and feel a lot ofyouthful energy. This place has the most outdoor seating that I've ever seen. However, we sat indoors and had a great meal. The chips and salsa... were tasty, we split some nachos and a pitcher of margaritas as well. Finished the meal with one fish taco. Crisp fish, tangypico and a fresh lime made it sing. Read more
