What can you say?! A Washington institution on the french culinary front. Took my girl here for her birthday 11/19/22 and they... did not disappoint. From the crusty bread to the venison medallions, to the shrimp and scallops, to the superb bottle ofVacqueyras ... delicious and promptly and professionally served. This place has excellent food and service in warm setting. We ordered onion soup, mussels in garlic butter, emmanthal souffle,... and Caesar salad to start. Onion soup was very delicious, not overly sweet as in many other places, mussels were yummy, thesouffle was light airy and tasty and the Caesar salad perfect. Each dish had a great flavor profile and texture, reallyflawless. The baguette with butter was also good. We shared the lamb chops as an entree medium rare. I was in town for a work event and my family that lives in the area took me here since it?s one of their favorite places. It was... incredible. It was the best salmon I?ve ever had. I?ve never had French salmon that?s wrapped inside a pastry but it was sodelicious. Make sure you order the soufflé when you place your entree order. They chocolate soufflé was PERFECT!
