This experience was amazing .the sushi selection is great and fresh ! and you can order off the menu anything extra you want... that doesn?t come on the conveyor belt . The desert selection is great too . Each sushi plate off the belt is $3.30 and you geta free gift if you have 15 plates ! There?s a wide variation of drinks and the cute robot delivers your drinks . I like the ideaof ?mr fresh? plate ,so you know your sushi is not being touched before it gets to you . I would give this place a five star butthe wait time on a Friday at 8pm was 86 minutes so I suggest you go before you?re starving and put your name on the iPad by thedoor and just walk around and enjoy the beautiful scenery! The food was only okay, and both the tables and the revolving belt holding plates were unclean. However, the idea is very neat,... and the dishes I ordered directly came out quickly and hot. Really it's not fewer stars because Abby was amazing - seated mevery quickly, was enthusiastic and sweet the whole time, and kindly showed me more than twice how to operate the dish system.There is also a neat drink delivery robot, which I've never seen before and definitely adds to the overall experience. Photos toshow the robot, who plays a song as it moves throughout the restaurant and says "I'm heading back now" before leaving the table. Read more
This was excellent very interactive and the sushi is good!. HIGHLY RECOMMEND GETTING IN LINE BEFORE YOU GET THERE USING THE APP.... If you are taking a metro still use that function if you get there late they will take you once you show up. The sushi was always fresh, the staff tells you how the ordering works if it?s your first time and, let me tell you something,... the Taiyaki ice cream was one of THE BEST things I?ve ever put in my mouth. The red bean fish pastry was hot and freshly friedand the ice cream was smooth. I was absolutely starstruck while eating it. The sake is served in traditional Japanese style in awooden box. In terms of the food experience, this place is great. The family loves the revolving idea. It's unique to the states and makes... dining exciting. However.... the sushi isn't always the BEST....although...the desserts are great! If you're expecting greatsushi.... I wouldn't recommend here. If you want a fun experience... this place is for you! Found this chain in DC, we want to try their NJ location for a long time bit it always long line, but when we were here there... was no lineup, so we rush in. The dishes on the belt seems pretty fresh all the time, I saw them replace some old dishes at thekitchen. It is always fun to pick food on revolving belt, it not the same as traditional one, you can also order your specificitems with a touch screen display and they will come out on its top track when it's ready as in my photo the ramen. Their foodquality is good, we had 14 dishes all are good, no complaints. But we should have order 15 dishes to get a fun toy from thetop..... Oh well next time. Read more
It's my family's first experience to have revolving sushi in the US. I know this restaurant has two locations, one in the DC and... one in the NJ. We were lucky that there was no waiting line at DC location the night we visiting (as I know, NJ location isalways in line). Food quality of this restaurant is decent, not super fresh but for sure is not old. Since it has enoughcustomers to sit in the restaurant, all food plates are turnover quick. Prices are very reasonable, all plates on revolving beltare $3.15 each, plus it has some foods you can order thru the tablet, and your order will deliver thru the belt and stop rightnext to you. Fun and delicious lunch this weekend at Kura. The experience is great, we were seated promptly and then given some instruction... on how to order and take the sushi off the belt. We were served our drinks from this nice robot. Service was great when weneeded them. The sushi was delicious! We would absolutely return again. Read more
