I have eaten at High Street several times and the staff and food are fantastic. I just had my annual Christmas/holiday lunch... today for my entire staff at W. T. Weaver and Sons in our office from High Street Cafe. The food was great the order was doneon time they even texted me to let me know it was ready 5 minutes early and called me to follow up a few minutes later so itwould not be cold. Let me tell you about this place!! Firstly, I?ve been there twice and each time the staff has been incredibly friendly and... attentive! Secondly, the carbonara they have is the best I?ve ever had! I really can?t recommend them enough. If you?re in thearea you?d be remiss not to visit. They didn?t have a wine exactly to my taste, but I was recommended a red and a rose that Iknow my friends would love. On an aside, I?d like to give a shout out to Daniela specifically! She didn?t make it feel like arestaurant experience, she made it seem like I was right at home. She?s friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and has greatsuggestions. Very friendly staff and delicious food! Had lunch with baby in a stroller and the staff was very attentive and offered to help... multiple times. Their shrimp and grits are very good. Also had a great brunch experience here earlier, very good value formoney. Great addition to Georgetown food scene, highly recommend! Read more
The hostess is very welcoming and nice. Most of the staff is pleasant. The decor is modern and the place is clean. I had the... Niçoise. Unfortunately, the potatoes were not cooked enough and the tuna was dry. My friend had the lamb meatballs and theywere too cooked and no lamb test. I want to believe that the chef was not there and that people in the kitchen did not knowquite what they were doing. Read more

Last evening we celebrated a Birthday at this lovely ?new? cafe in Georgetown. What a treat! From the charming hostess, to our... waiter, Victor, who deftly catered to our every whim, to the owner who joined us at the table after dinner, we felt likefamily. To begin, we were given plenty of time to enjoy drinks and conversation without being rushed to order our meals. Thisgoes a long way in establishing a level of comfort on a first visit. Victor appropriately timed his delivery of the evening?sspecials and once again, we lingered, this time over the many wonderful menu offerings- each served with a savory array ofseasonal ingredients. When a choice is difficult to make amidst several tantalizing dishes, one simply must return! Artfullyplated to maximize visual appeal, the dinners delivered on both presentation and flavor. Throughout our meal, Victor wasattentive and conversational with an ever present smile and polished yet witty demeanor. Decor and ambiance play an equallyimportant role in any dining experience and we have two suggestions: lower the lighting level and add some tall, sweepingplants for visual texture and interest.
