Many highlights of the 5 course meal but the best was the fish stuff with sausage in curry soup. It’s served w sushito... peppers and sweet potato. A+ dish but overall a bit random, lacking cohesion — this was my overall feeling about all thedishes. Not a bad thing but expected something more thoughtful for the price. Also: great cocktail choices alongside a nicewine menu. Expensive experience but worth it. Read more

Enjoyed an incredible 4 course dinner and good drink pairings, further complemented with some exceptionally knowledgeable and... friendly service. 1st course: Fresh baked sourdough bread -Cultured butter, wild mushroom miso, pickled cucumbers,sauerkraut- (Bev Pairing: Proper Sake Co., “Super Gold” Sparkling Yamahai, Nashville, TN) 2nd course: SalmonZeppole -Confit Salmon, fines herbes, green goddess dressing- (Bev Pairing: Salted Aquavit Gimlet w/ gin, aquavit, lime, sugar) 3rd course: Stone Fruit Salad -Stanley prune plum, fermented peperonata, habanada, ricotta salata- (Bev Pairing: RandevuPet-Nat Cider, Sidreria C&L, Piedmont, Italy, 2020) 4th course: Double Cut Pork Chop -Brined in lapsang tea, roasted and bastedin cherry pork lacquer, preserved plums, herbs- (Bev Pairing: Pinot Gris, “Volcanic,” Picnic Cajkov, Nitra, Slovakia,2019) Sides: Grilled honey nut squash -Pepita, peperonata, marinated feta- Crispy Sweet Potato -Pomegranate molasses, friedsumac, lemon verbena aioli- Dessert: Thyme Infused Pavlova -Blueberry compote, lemon curd, borage flowers- (Bev Pairing: AnticaTorino Blanc Vermouth) The first course was a strong start. Favorite was this vegan XO sauce, it was bomb. Second course wasfine. Third course was outstanding, one of my favorites. The main course with the pork was good, but it was the accompanyingsides that were really memorable. The pavlova dessert with the blueberry compote was outstanding, like a cream puff with jellyon it. The drink pairings were a bit more miss than hit, but the last one with the dessert was epic, the vermouth wasincredible. I also very much enjoyed my cocktail, the Lickety Split. Highly recommended. Our server was awesome, veryfriendly, funny, and knowledgeable. She handled ever curve ball we threw at her with aplomb. Read more

Delightful place. Old diner look and feel but really tastefully prepared food. Staff were simply dressed, very attentive and... helpful. The four of us each had a different favorite dish and I liked the salmon best followed closely by the steak. The foodwas very, very good. Read more

Had a birthday meal here. The service was excellent and the sour dough bread was delicious. But I cannot recommend the chef's... tasting. Stick with the a la carte. The drinks were interesting. Read more

Expansive cafe with plenty of seating and unique lattes. I can never resist a good flavored latte and this was the first time... I'd seen Peach Cobbler Latte on a menu, so I had to try it! The flavor was subtle and sweet. I was surprised by how large theinterior was, there's definitely plenty of seating whether you're catching up with friends over brunch of powering through athesis on your laptop. Read more

Great experience, super friendly staff—they gave me a baguette for the road as I was leaving too which was interesting. I love... that they pay a living wage to their staff and include gratuity for you with a very visible explanation/statement of extragratuity if you so choose. The ambiance is super cute and the food is delicious. Read more

I love this cute spot in Mount Pleasant. The space is really cute, and the food was good. We got the Pastrami Reuben and the... breakfast sandwich, which were both delicious. I’d come back to try their dinner menu and pick up some bread. Read more

Ell? is honestly one of my favorite places on the face of this planet. I went here on one of my first dates with my now fiance,... and when I got back from deployment, it was one of the first places I went for dinner. It's comfortable, intimate, and the foodis amazing. The people are friendly and knowledgeable, and I've never had a bad or even mediocre experience here; not once. Anighttime visit to Ell? when the light is dim and the candles are lit and you get to enjoy a piece of fresh sourdough bread ishonestly a poetic experience. Do yourself a favor and go at least once.
