First time visiting this place and definitely not the LAST time. From the hospitality to the fresh food, to the strong delicious... bottomless drinks and prompt service I was HIGHLY impressed. They accommodated 15 people at the last minute during HowardHomecoming! Destiny the host was amazing and our waitstaff Aslin was phenomenal and bubbly, and was very attentive. Francescaalso was a wonderful waitstaff and kept checking in on us. Shout out to the manager of this establishment because everyone wassinging the same song and delivered exceptionally!!!! Read more

El Techo is worth a visit but I’m not sure if it’s a place you would go back to after the first time. The vibes and views... are great and the energy is phenomenal. Although we did have slow service the day we went (but it was a bit crowded). The reasonthey lost two stars from me is due to the pricing vs the food portion- particularly the Birria tacos. The tacos were tasty andvery fresh but significantly smaller in size compared to most Birria tacos I’ve paid for. We over heard a few tablescomplaining about the size of their orders while we were there so I know it wasn’t just us. Just keep that in mind as you’reordering food. We felt similarly about the guacamole. The margaritas we had were okay but definitely light in the alcohol. TresLeches was great! I still think it’s worth a visit but just manage expectations on pricing vs the food you get. Read more

First and foremost, Shawn at the front door was nice in speaking with me and directing me to the reservation. I was treated... upstairs kindly and Alina (very engaging and kind is active on the floor.) Luis, the owner, kindly greeted our table and checkedon us. Our waiter, Jose, patient and helped keep the vibes up at the table. Whatever you usually tip, be ready to give $50-$100more on top of that. Great vibes . Read more

We sat at the bar in a gorgeous covered outdoor space. Our bartender Lina was fantastic and made us so beautiful and delicious... drinks. I had the gin drink in the menu with rose and mint syrup among other things and my girlfriend had some special frozenconcoction. Lina made some great recommendations and our tacos were fantastic. The carnitas with pineapple slaw was so yummy, but the SHOWSTOPPER was the handmade corn tortillas. They were so soft and held together so well. They were hands down the besttortillas I’ve ever had. If I’m ever back in DC I’m coming for the tacos and the cocktails. Read more
