Reviews for Dirty Habit in 555 8th St NW, WA
Beautiful place. We were visiting DC for the weekend and had brunch there on Sunday. THE BEST FRENCH TOAST I HAVE EVER HAD HANDS... DOWN. The mimosas are made with quality champagne. This place is classy and the brunch is not a club environment which isexactly what we wanted. We were happy with the customer service as well. They did combine the bill but we weren’t too botheredby that. Read more
Ok, so let me start off with the positive! The atmosphere is really nice and sexy great for dates, or friends meet up. Our... server was super accommodating and nice. Our food was delicious. My only complaint was with the bottomless option. It was 45dollars, yes 45 dollars! That was expensive as hell (no it did not include food). My mimosas was warm (big no!), and it tooktoo long to refill. I also didn’t like the fact that although they had 3 drink options you had to stick to the original drinkyou ordered. I’ve been to plenty of brunches that cost wayyyyy less and you could interchange if you please. I’m not sureif I’ll be back. Read more
A very classy joint! Staff is wonderful and our waiter was hilarious. Kept our evening light without being intrusive. I highly... enjoyed my strawberry martini that wasn’t even on the menu ( they accommodated what I desired ) however my bf was a littledisappointed in the multiple cubes of ice melting in his old fashion that was also missing it’s orange peel. The French onionsoup was nice, but a tad bit TOO salty. I couldn’t finish it.. NOW, the WAGYU TARTAR WAS AMAZINGGGGG must order!!! It’ssmoked! And the waiter brings it to you with a dome for the revealing surprise as they lift the lid and out pours the Smokeygoodness!! Yes !! The local sea bass was over cooked and dry.. lovely presentation but my bf couldn’t finish that either..maybe we just ordered the wrong things? Haha Read more
Went to Dirty Habit for brunch and it was good! The fruit was really fresh and the potatoes were crisp. However, the service was... decent and they only have bar seats available. Maybe that’s because we arrived an hour before they closed for the afternoon.Either way, the food made up for it. I would definitely like to try their dinner menu. Read more

Located in Penn Quarter close to the Chinatown Metro Station, Dirty Habit makes for a great date night or group dinner. It's a... spacious restaurant with several beautifully-decorated dining rooms, bars and a heated outdoor patio. Here's my wife and myexperience going on a February Saturday evening: 1) Food: The food menu is organized first courses, mains and sides. My wifeand I love little courses so we each ordered our own French onion soup and then split the beets four ways, watermelon tartare, burrata, crudo and whipped butter potatoes. For dessert, they brought over the churros and an innovative banana split. All thefood was excellent and well presented, but th watermelon tartate takes the cake. It's entirely vegan and the flavor combinationis out of this world. 2) Drink: They have a full cocktails, beer and wine menu. If you don't have the wine, you can bring yourown if you call ahead. (They'll charge a corkage fee.) Off the menu, they make mocktails if you tell them what flavors you like.My wife's citrus mocktail was well made. I ordered the Amazonian and it was excellent with the coconut whip. 3) Service: Ourservice was on point. We were seated the moment we arrived for our 8:30 p.m. reservation and our server was efficient, pleasantand knowledgeable on the menu. 4) Experience: From the service to the atmosphere to the food, it was a great dining experience. They follow all pandemic protocols. Despite being full of all kinds of people, we felt far enough away and covid-safe. 5)Parking: This can be a challenge being in downtown, but we found street parking for $3 by the Rice Bar along 9th Street NW nearPennsylvania Avenue NW. Friendly staff, lively atmosphere indoor and outdoor, nice music and good interior. The food, in terms of portion and... presentation, is very good. However, the taste is a bit too sweet for savory dishes such as risotto and pan seared Sea-bass!The onion soup is very tasty, the steak frites is very very good. Read more
