A lovely place that attracts clientele from all walks of life with a pleasant but not pretentious vibe. We had chuchitos (tiny... tamales with red sauce on top) as well as hilachas (a very tender, rich beef and potato stew) and a chile relleno. Highlyrecommended. Read more
This place is fantastic and a great value. Had the "Plato Típico Chapín" with the steak cooked medium rare. The meal was... incredibly delicious. The meat was tender and full flavor. The salsa, salad, black beans, rice and pita bread that accompaniedit were amazing too. For $20 (tax included), you can't beat it. It's a clean restaurant and the waitress was super nice. This place is really a nice quaint place to chow down at. While walking around the hood we saw this place and I said this is it!... We were greeted by the owner and she talked to us about Bolivia while offering us samples of the horchata drink. Everything wastasty! I had to have the lomo saltado and when I say it was one of the best things I ever ate in life, I mean that! The frenchfries were so crunchy even with the sauce soaked in each of the fries they stayed crunchy. I don't know what kind of sorcerythat was but it was so delicious. Do NOT order a burrito here. It is almost entirely unseasoned white rice. I?m not joking or exaggerating. I?ve never seen... anything like it. Over ten dollars for a flour tortilla filled with plain white rice. I mean filled. There was a thin strip ofblack beans and a bit of guacamole, but a 3? diameter core of white rice made up almost the entire inside of the burrito. Iordered a veggie burrito with all the fixings.
