Super tasty! I got the Chaplin A.S.S. and it was really good. Just the right amount of spice and soooo much flavor. We went on a... Monday night without a reservation and it was packed, but they did a great job of seating us really quickly. I’d recommendmaking a res if you’re going on a weekend! Read more

Delicious pho, dumplings, and mixed drinks. I'm not a fan of bloody Marys but there's completely changed my opinion. The best... one I've ever had. I highly recommend Chaplin's for the great service, food, and drinks. Read more

I was thrilled when I found a ramen place near my neighborhood and especially when I read the introduction on the Michelin guide... and learned that the chef cooked under a ramen chef in Tokyo. I am a ramen lover, so maybe my expectation is high. I wasdisappointed with the service and the way the ramen was served. The Chaplins Buns were good but not impressive. The Shoyu ramenwas served in a cracked bowl. The chashu and ground pork were dry and the soup base was too light. Only the noodles met therequirement: chewiness. I did not order any drinks because I was not impressed with food and the waitress did not serve a secondglass of water until I finished the bun and ramen. Read more

Came here for restaurant week. $40 for an appetizer, ramen and dessert. The gyoza was delicious and the ramen was amazing! I got... the Chaplin signature bowl which is a mix of chicken and pork broth. The dessert was ice cream and it was a bit melted when Ireceived it but it was still good. I can’t wait to come back when it’s a little cooler out! Read more

Delicious! Always a great pick for Ramen and a great happy hour every day from 4-7 (can you say $6 delicious craft cocktails!).... They even used a blow torch table side on my rosemary. How fragrant! Read more

Make sure to check out this little gem here in downtown dc. My favorite things on the menu as far as entrees are concerned are... the following: fried wontons. Tori karaage. Shrimp gyoza. Pork ribs. Tokyo tea slush chaplin a.s.s. And desserts you may askmost definitely try the Caught in the caberet and ichigo parfait dessert. Street parking available. Make sure to make areservation in advance as these tables fill up quick especially on a sunday. The service is fast from the time you put in theorder. They also have this cute king and queen table on the second floor which is a cute spot to dine in. The view is worth itthough. Total bill for drinks. Dessert and food including ramen was $108 for party of two. Leslie and sam were very professionaland knowledgeable about the menu. Read more

The ramen, appetizers and drinks here are excellent and filling! I ordered the Tori Karaage, Shrimp Gyoza and Stamina Spicy. The... Stamina Spicy had the perfect amount of heat for my Louisiana taste buds. The restaurant provides an 80s vibe with the music andthe atmosphere was bustling during our visit. The service was quick and accommodating as well. We will definitely be back again. Read more
