Not busy at all Fri night at abt 1800, very few ppl there. Foods behind glass looked pretty good/fresh. Tables visibly dirty (we... wiped table clean off ourselves before sitting w a Lysol wipe). Unf , employees there at the time appear disinterested ineffective communication or good customer service, seemed as if they wanted to speak and do as little as possible to getcustomers out of their space as rapidly as possible. CAVA has really gone downhill from what I remember it. I used to go to the Columbia Heights location every week - and this was... my first time visiting their Dupont one. Overall, food was acceptable but nothing to write home about - I got one of thepre-built bowls since I hadn't seen those before. Service was poor, I had a coupon I received by email and when it wouldn'tscan, the cashier just walked away. Mediocre food and bad service means I probably won't visit this location again. Read more

Super friendly service. The menu has about 6 items max... I had a falafel bowl which was quite healthy with lots of different... veggies. The roasted eggplant was the best! Falafel tasted like it had been spiked with flour... not so great, but everythingelse was good. Read more

It's fine, though not as good as i remember. The crispy falafel is not crispy at all, so this isn't the place to go if you're... looking for that. I do like the variety of options available and that you can customize your meal. I suggest not ordering offthe chef curated menu... it caused a lot of confusion. Just tell the staff what you want. Portions are usually generous so I cantypically get two meals out if one bowl. Read more
