We checked this place out Saturday evening; it was an electric vibe with great Afro-sound beats. The oxtails we ordered were... rich in texture and flavorful and teasing to the palate. The chicken, crispy kale, and tomato sauce were also delicious. Jade,who took our order, was the real deal; the whole staff makes you feel welcome. We will definitely come back. Read more
A wonderful cozy Caribbean spot on H Street!! Service was attentive, food was affordable and delicious! The flavors were so... balanced, you really can?t get any better than this. I have been dying to try this spot over on H St for some time and it did not disappoint. Cannot recommend bellying up to the bar... enough! Jasmine was incredible, patient, and gave the best recommendations. We ended up with the doubles, the jerk wings, thepork belly, and the oxtail, plus the cane fever rum cocktail was spicy and delicious. Fantastic food and drinks at a small but welcoming and lively spot. So many great vegetarian options, from the fritters to the... crispy kale to the tiffin. The cocktails are a highlight, I would drink an ?Island Life? everyday if I could. Can?t wait to comeback to try all the menu items! Best oxtail I?ve ever had in my entire life, I had a dream about it last night. The coconut rice was the best possible pairing... with the oxtail, we devoured it. I would recommend getting the bread pudding, it was 10/10. I wouldn?t order the flan as itdidn?t taste nearly as good as the bread pudding. It also didn?t look like the photo. Read more
