Bistro Cacao is tied with another local Italian restaurant as my absolute favorite place to get dinner in Washington, DC. The... service is great, the ambiance is lovely both inside and outside, and the food is delicious. Everything I’ve had on the menuhas been delicious, but I especially recommend the french onion soup and the mushroom ravioli. For cocktails, both the lavenderfrench 75 and the hazy old fashioned are spectacular. They also have an extensive wine list. This is a perfect place for abusiness lunch or a romantic date night. Took my girlfriend here for her birthday- and wow! Will definitely be back- incredible food and the SERVICE! Excellent: we... were seated by Valeria, courteous and welcoming. Served by Eileen- attentive, warm and friendly. The ambience is simplymagical- velvet chairs at a romantic little table, with beautiful maroon curtains for privacy. Thank you Bistro Cacao! Read more

Fantastic food and beautiful ambience outside. Would love to go back in the cooler seasons to dine indoors as well. The only... negative of our experience was the fact that we had to keep asking for water refills because they didn’t preemptively keepthem topped off. Why can’t every restaurant just leave a pitcher of water at the table? Read more

More like a 4.5. We came for Sunday brunch and so glad we did. Cute atmosphere, love the decor. The outdoor seating was lovely... as well but since it was so humid, we opted to sit inside. Cocktails- *lavender French 75, my new favorite brunch drink. Wentdown so easy and it was sooo tasty! *ange blanc-tasty! Apps- Escargots-mmm so garlicky Main entree *NY Strip with sunny sideegg- beef was a little chewy Desserts- *Crème brûlée just the perfect amount to finish a meal *Challah French toast-soundsheavier than it tastes. We would definitely return. Would like to try other options on the menu. Service was friendly andhelpful. Read more

Nice atmosphere and vibe, went for brunch. Food was okay, I thought the steak could have been more tender. Oddly enough, my... favorite dish was the escargot appetizer. If you're doing brunch, go with the 3 course for $35, it's a good value. Read more
