Pleasantly surprised with bindaas! I'm not a fan of their other restaurant Rasika, but bindaas was a good experience. We came... Saturday night for dinner and sat at the bar. I started with a mango lassi which wasn't bad but could be a tad sweeter. There'salso a strong taste of cardamom which I didn't enjoy. For food we got the chicken curry puff which was one of their specials, the paneer kathi roll and the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan. The chicken curry puff was delicious and really flavorful! It was warm and filled well. The paneer kathi roll was also very good and had a good filling. The chicken tikka masala wasdelicious and a good serving to finish. The garlic naan tasted fresh and was very soft too. Overall our dishes were good, butone thing I noticed is for the price you're paying for the chicken tikka, you're only getting enough to finish in one sitting.Normally when ordering curries at Indian restaurants there's enough to take home as well for another meal for the same price. Beautiful place with good food. The vada pao was tasty but oily. The paneer kathi roll was overall good but tangier than usual.... The ragda pattice was delicious and so was the avocado gol gappa. Got the masala chai which was also good. Did not like theservice though. No one came to our table for the first 20 min. It was 3pm so it wasn’t busy at all. After our first order camein, the person waiting our table didn’t come back so we had to ask someone else to take our remaining order. Also couldn’tfind someone to bring our check for a long time. Went with 2 friends, and had reservations. However, we weren't super hungry yet. Dishes are served family style so we were able... to share each plate. Loved that each dish came out as it was ready so it was still hot and fresh. Our dishes had a kick tothem, but they weren't unbearably spicy. The lamb just melted in my mouth, and I don't like lamb. This was the first time I'veever loved it! The chai tea after dinner was great. (We were too full for dessert, but the options sounded terrific.) Servicewas impeccable! The food recommendations were on point, and they were very attentive to us. Will go here again the next timeI'm in DC. Read more

30+ min wait, but the next door has an interesting space with eateries that you could spend time at. Bindaas has some good... chat, and flavorful rice and naan. The cocktail didn't seem fresh, and the service could be better. Read more

Definitely a place to visit and experience the food, ambience and warm service they provide. Yes, another indian street food... place but different fusion style of presentation yet the authentic taste doesnt go anywhere. Great place to hangout withfriends and family. Always a pleasure to visit bindaas . Keep up the good work! Best Wishes! Read more

I went with high expectations as per reviews and feedback from folks who had been there and were ravishing about the chaats... available at this cool place. The only reason it carries a single star is because of the interior - very nicely done. Theservice was really poor with an unbelievable wait for golgappas that made me wonder if the Chef had personally driven over tothe nearby Indian grocery store to pick up some raw materials! The state of the bathrooms (yes, even the ladies) was horriblewith paper towel strewn all over. Later I followed up with someone who confirmed they had encountered the same on their priorvisit. With such a pricey menu for a substandard taste (compared to local Indian offerings in DC and Northern Virginia), Iwonder why they can't invest in a janitorial service for cleaning up the restroom. The floors were littered with food and I hadto request them to clean it up. The avacado golgappas were spicy even at mild and didn't help us experience the taste ofavacados in them just being overpowered by the spices. The dahi batata puri was tasteless on the other hand while the pav Bhajitasted like uncooked masalas added in a hurry. I thought I might be too critical in calling the masala chai as watery, but itbecame clear that the whole place was just a marketing gimmick when my 7 year old expert mango lassi taster (starting at 6months of age when he first tasted this dish in any Indian restaurant and has always ordered one everywhere available) said thiswas not even worth taking home. I will add appetizing pictures to assure you that the presentation is very appealing, but thenit definitely brings the proverbial saying on being deceived by the eyes to life. Avoid. Read more

This place is hip and happening. With a modern touch on Indian cuisine, this place has some delicious items I'm highly... recommending. The starters are awesome and the chicken tikka masala with Saffron rice is really yummy. The service is great andthe place is truly affordable.
