This restaurant made SUCH a good first impression on me. What impresses me most is that you get your money's worth with the... portions. And this is not just the food but the booze: Don't be turned off by the cocktail prices. They are STRONG. And the foodis high quality and generous. Very friendly staff. Our server was very attentive. Shrimp cocktail appetizer was delicious. The grilled chicken Caesar salad... was very good. I opted to add shrimp to it. We had a table next to the windows that overlook 17th Street which provided amplepeople watching opportunities between courses. Drinks were good too. Decent food at a reasonable price point. Kirche is a great example of how a server should be. Attentive without overbearing. The food was good, everything was fresh and... cooked to order. The shrimp with the steak wasn't peeled all the way when fried ???????????????? and the rice was a little olderor over cooked (which it was super late so I wasn't upset) .
