D.C. has some of the best Ethiopian food in America and Ambassador restaurant holds true to that reputation. I got the special... tibsi (lamb) which came with a small salad and lots of injera. When I tell you my taste buds exploded eating this- my roommatehad to close her door because it smelled so good and she didn?t want to order out again. The salad was alright but honestly notconcerned with it for the level of excellence that came out of the tibsi. I will be going back and I encourage you to as well. Read more

Came in to this cozy little spot this afternoon for lunch and was not disappointed. I'm visiting from New Mexico where we sorely... lack variety in our food choices. It's been years since I've had food like this. I ordered the tibs and it was delicious. Thebeef was tender and the flavor was deep, rich and spicy. The injera was soft and they were generous with their portion sizes.The service was warm and lovely as well. Read more
