SUMMARY. I frequent this Wendy's because I play beer league hockey, and I'm often looking for a place to grab a bite around... midnight (this is the only place I know around me still open then). Only downside is that because it's the only place open, thedrive-thru is always mobbed, and the staff is incredibly slow-moving. Expect at least a 20- to 30-minute wait timelate-night. LOCATION. The location is perfect (at least for me), located on West End right across from Centennial Park adjacentthe Vanderbilt football stadium. It's only a mile or so down West End off the 440 exit. QUALITY. The quality is what you wouldexpect from any Wendy's. No better, no worse. SERVICE. The service is awful. Granted, being the only game in town at that hour,I understand there is a long line. Still, the time it takes to prepare and deliver a single meal is untenable. Even for me, whois always coming here solo, the wait time at the actual window is often 3-5 minutes (or more), which is outlandish. Multiplythat by a line of 10 cars, and it starts to make sense. Further, the staff makes no effort to hustle or even pretend toacknowledge the line. They have one speed only: very slow. VALUE. The value is good, but no better than any other Wendy's I'vebeen to. I get a meal with a burger, fries, and drink for around $10. I believe this to be par for the course. TAKEAWAYS. The 3stars are for the fact that they are open until 1am every night when nowhere else is (not even McDonald's). That goes a longway. Still, the long lines and poor service make it difficult to give anything over 3 stars. Cookout is another option I amseriously considering, even though it's a couple miles farther from my house. I frequently pick up Uber orders at this location. Until this visit I loved them. However, after sitting in line for over 25... mins to pick up an order that the customer had placed at least 45 mins prior, they told me the car in front of me was the lastone they were serving. I tried to explain that I didn't want to order, that I was only picking up an already placed order. Themanager called me a liar, would not listen to what I was trying to say and slammed the window in my face and locked it, as if Iwere going to try and open it!! Insulting, humiliating, rude, horribly unprofessional. She should be fired for the way shetreated me. And I lost all of the time I had spent sitting in line when I could've been talking other orders, as well as the payI would've received for that order. I will never go there again. The worst ever, all employees are on something, homeless people sleeping in the eating area. Came in to get a doordash order at... 6:18 pm on October 2nd and instead of telling me the order would take 20 minutes due to something with the chicken, I stoodthere, none of the employees spoke to me, they all joked around. Then when I asked again in 20 minutes a woman employee juststarted yelling at me and scream profanity at me. I left, canceled the order for pickup and filed a complaint with doordash.This place should be closed for many reasons, health and sanitation should be the main reason. Read more
I went in with my family and ordered food. The cashier was beyond the rudest person I have encountered. I've been going to this... wendy's for years and that cashier ruined my day and made me uncomfortable. I was nothing but nice and civil, just trying to getsome food for my family and me. They messed up one order so I kindly asked that they forgot the cheese and thanked them afterthey fixed it. I checked my bag again and noticed they forgot some things so I went to go tell them and received my items. Ithen remembered after my mother reminded me that we never got our drinks so I asked my brother who had ordered separately if hecould tell them for us and the cashier with the biggest attitude told him "Would she like something more or is that it" with themost annoyed face. I was taken aback as I never once raised my voice nor caused a scene about my missing items. Am I notsupposed to get what I paid for?? The cashier also gave attitude to my brother as well. She looked like she didn't even want tobe there. She was also talking to her coworkers about me as she kept looking at me, which made me uncomfortable. If you wantrude customer service, then this is your place! I understand that fast food can be tiring and stressful, because I've alsoworked fast food, but why display an attitude when I am just trying to get my order that I paid for? I gave 1 star simply because the fries were hot. I pulled in at 11:50am. I ordered the $5 biggie bag. Nuggets were cold, burger... was cold, bun was hard. 11:50, wow, I guess I got what was left from the day before, and I won't talk about the coke machines,or other issues in the restaurant. Mmmmmm.....burgers just right! Fries real good. Busy at times, so be a little patient. Iconic fast food is always good!
