I was craving Waffle House and I came into the White Bridge Road location on a Friday afternoon....I was greeted by Paige who... was playing some great music over a pill speaker. She took my order and cooked my meal...I felt at home from the start and Ireally enjoyed my selection. I don't come to Waffle House often but I will return soon!! I noticed immediately the smooth atmosphere. Calm and quiet. The waitresses and cooks worked as a team. No one was goofing... off. Food was good, except the grits. Not quite cooked all the way. I was impressed by the cooks efficiency, workers at thislevel are rare. I highly recommend this place. Read more
The food was mostly good. I don't leave less stars normally but,the food was not to the standards they normally make. Lumpy... gravy. Daughter got food she didn't order and nobody would listen when she tried to explain she only ordered a bisque and gravyand a scrambled egg. Didn't get either. Unbelievably horrible!! The waitress was beyond bad. We went during a slow time but the place was filthy. Almost every table was... dirty. Still littered with used plates, cups, used napkins, nasty. The waitress came to take our order. We felt like we wereimposing on her. She had been loudly questioning the accuracy of her tips and had to stop to wait on us. That was the last shebothered with us until she brought the bill. After she took our order, she picked up some receipts and sat at the counter addingher tips. We knew this because she had loudly asked the only person there that was working, the cook, about how money she feltshe was owed, wasn't given to her. The 1st time she asked him, he told her he doesn't handle that and wouldn't know. The 2ndtime he told her he doesn't know. He finally lost his patience and told her she needed to talk to management. All this while sheis ignoring her customers, sitting 5 feet away from us, adding her tips and complaining, loudly, about being shorted, on companytime!! The cook let her know our food was ready. She stayed seated and told him to take it to use!! She added a very insincereplease. All while still involved with her tip situation. The cook brought our food with to go packets of plastic fork, knife,napkins. We asked for silverware. He went to get it for us and she asked him if we asked for real silverware. He said yes andshe made a sound to show her disgust. She never bothered with us again until the bill but he did. As he cooked, he made sure wehad what we needed and were pleased with our food. Which we were. The absolute highlight of this adventure was the waitress waswearing dirty, nasty HOUSE SLIPPERS with dirty nasty socks!!!!!!! I highly recommend you avoid this place like the plague. Worst experience ever at a waffle house. The young guy taking the orders got half of the order wrong. It took an hour to get... the wrong food. The cook, however, done all he could to make it right. If he had some help in there the experience would havebeen a lot better. Read more
Went at 1 in the morning, one worker. Highly impressed with how well they were serving and doing their job flawless for being... the only worker there. Hash browns, bacon, toast, and all-star pancakes were perfect. Place was clean and taken care of. At thetime it was takeout only. Read more
I felt warmed and welcomed by the folks here. The few people working were all chatting causally between themselves between... customers, you can tell this crew tends to vibe really well and I think a large part of that is because the cook seems likesomeone who is consistently showing up. So this felt like a fun spot. They were only doing takeout when I was there, that was abummer because I had to eat in my car but whatever. If you?ve never been before, I recommend the bacon egg and cheese biscuit.It?s beyond better than what you get at other fast food spots. I seen management probably GM & District leave around 11:30 AM. I walked in the restaurant rather than serving customers... correctly the staff are talking about plain BS (hours, tips, etc) rather than focusing on the customer. Cold gravy and had toremake a basic Bacon, Egg. And Cheese sandwich. Employees just openly cursing in front of elderly and kids. Wow, reallyshocking experience. Read more
