One of my favorite restaurants when visiting Nashville. The sushi is high quality, and the rolls have the perfect flavor and... texture. The Bomb was my favorite but you can't go wrong with any of the choices. We did have a hiccup with the hostess who wasextremely rude and told us there was no available seating at the bar, and then got testy when I happily said we would wait.Coincidentally, the manager appeared and seated us within minutes at one of the many available bar seats. I love a place with cool touches. The staff are so interesting to watch their style's. The server Cisco knows an amazing amount... about the menu. I enjoyed the vibe the most but I still have love for the original Virago. Maybe you should open another Asianfusion place in East Nashville. I love pear in my Korean BBQ sauce-try it out it's crazy. I want to give 4.5 stars, but can’t. I loved all the food. The wagyu tataki was my absolute favorite, my mouth went to heaven.... The wasabi martini was wonderful, hamachi jalapeño.. yum! Crispy rice with tuna, our two sushi rolls (rainbow box and trufflesomething). What lacked was the service, our server wasn’t very good, just never to be seen for large periods of time.Everyone else seemed to have good servers though. They did comp a round of drinks and give us a (delicious) tuna rose for havingto wait so long for some of our dishes. So, I didn’t mind the issues. Read more
Definitely stepped out of my comfort zone when ordering here. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of what I ordered but it... was tasty. The restaurant offered lowered lighting and a chic modern vibe. The service all around was 5 stars. Definitely anexperience to dine in. The spot could be hard to find if it’s your first time as they have a very cool looking hidden entrancejust next door to St. Anejo. Have dined in a few times & will continue to come. Read more
I have a lot of conflicting feelings about my experience here. The food tasted fantastic, and the ambiance was excellent. The... waiter's attentiveness was on point. So what are the conflicting feelings? It wasn't easy to find the Entrance. The bar took 30min to get our drinks to us. The food took unusually long to come out. Our waiter competed us an appetizer to apologize forthe inconvenience. I get it. This industry is so under staffed. I gave this place 5 stars because of the great tasting food. Outstanding place! Service, food, and ambiance - all there. So many options available and the quality is by far at the top in... the Nashville area - one of the best. 1/2 off Maki Monday is excellent - reservations aren’t a must, but highly suggested, asit gets packed pretty quickly. Read more
All we heard was, “you have to go to Virago” from numerous friends of our… We were excited to have our last dinner in... Nashville here, came extra hungry, and ordered lots! Feeling comfortable in a restaurant always starts from the moment you’reseated. For us, it was the exact opposite. We were seated in an area surrounded by three uncleared tables. These dirty tablesremained un-bussed, for close to 45 minutes. After being served sub par, SUPERMARKET grade sushi, we decided to engage inconversation with the manager. This “manager” did not seem to understand the issue with the dirty tables surrounding us, orour concern about the sushi and rice freshness. We were looking forward to adding this to our “must go” lists. We will notbe doing so. Save your money, save your efforts. You can get better tasting, fresher sushi and a better experience at yourlocal super market. On a positive note, the decor and design choices on the interior looked great… 1.5/10 Read more
