Hipster lunch spot in Midtown. Was pleasantly surprised by the amazing quality and appearance of the food. My salad was Steak/... Pepper and was absolutely delicious and filling. Dressing was a spicy treat. Portions were more than adequate. Bloody Mary wasfantastic! It's a plastic silverware / cup situation. Pricing is a tad steep in my opinion but worth it! Service was good! Place looked clean. We ate out on the patio and it was breezy but industrial/noisy. Staff was friendly. Food was a no go for... my family and I. Could have made the same thing at home. I got the grilled chicken sandwich. Chicken was very dry with notenough flavors going on to cover that. The roasted veggies were great though. Husband got the outlaw wrap ( not 100% on the name) but he had the same consensus. Dry and flavor lacking. We got our toddler the grilled cheese with ham. I don't know why theyput spicy cheese in a kids sandwich but he didn't seem to mind it much . Anyways, urban cookhouse was sadly a first and last forus. But other things on the menu may be better. Stopped by for a late Sunday lunch. I was a little worried as there was only 1 other party there, but it was an odd time. ... Walked in and was immediately and warmly greeted. She explained their menu and made some recommendations. I liked the saladand sandwich options as they had the same ingredients, just in another form. Ordered the Local Mix salad and the Berry Goodwrap. Salad came out after about 5 minutes, but the wrap took about 20 minutes. It wasn't crowded, so I think they forgot, butit was an honest mistake as overall service was great. To make up for the wait, the server brought out a little brownie whichwas a good gesture for the wait. Both the wrap and salad were really good. They were put together well and full of fresh &local ingredients. Great way to support the local farmers. Good place to come for fresh food that supports the localcommunity. Read more
