I feel obligated to let the public know that no one washes their hands before or after handling food in this place. I know this... for a fact. Additionally, The owner has stated that she knows "...how to get around health inspections", so eat there at yourown risk. There is no actual evidence that mask-less employees have been vaccinated. I would also avoid this place if you have anut allergy, since they don't have any obvious disclosures for such. Cleanliness is at the bottom of their priority. Read more
Long time staple of the Tusculum area, this place is inexpensive and tasty. The sandwiches are tasty. Always add bacon for $1... and a cup of soup. You won't go wrong. Super variety of cookies. A little on the cake-y side for my personal taste, buteverybody's different. If you're a soft cookie person, this is totally your spot. I've eaten at Unique Flavors many times. It is one of my "go to" places. I enjoy many of their specials and they have a good... staple of always available menu items. The place is both dine-in and take out. Read more
Great lunch spot. My favorites are the Steeplechase on a wrap, and the Bella Bleu salad. Their specials on Tuesday and Thursday... are really good too, but have to get there early before they sell out. The Brentwood Bagel and Taco Salad are specials that Ihighly recommend. Read more
I have ate here several times, it is definitely unique in their customer service ... Today was the first time i'm solidifying my... decision to probably never come back... I was charged $18.75 for a $15.50 didn't know price difference till i asked for receipt.Never received potato soup as ordered and i paid for it. Instead received two cookies followed by a non challant attitude ...Good food but they can do better .. Read more
I was recommended Unique Flavors by a co-worker who goes there often. Though I'm willing to give it another shot, I was... unimpressed by my first visit. I ordered the Grassmere which, in hindsight, may have been my mistake. It did taste good, buthalf of the contents weren't even in the sandwich (maybe they slid out when the chef/runner threw it on the counter?), and thosethat were present were meager. The "sides" with every sandwich are chips and a pickle; my pickle slice was about one bite'sworth. Between that and the lack of sandwich filler (messy or otherwise), it wasn't a very filling lunch, especially for theprice ($10 after tax and the now-regretted tip). However, because the food was clearly fresh and still tasted good, I'm willingto try this place again. Plus, they were FAST- a definite plus at lunchtime. I'm hoping the next sandwich I order will havemore substance... and stays constructed! Read more
